That Power Wagon is a keeper. Much respect for making the casting. Vintage workhorse truck and to have a 413 cross ram intake on it......That just makes me want to get more than one 😊
I’m happy that they addressed why some models can’t have side mirrors. I won’t lie I was a little disappointed that the McLaren f1 didn’t have any side mirrors but it came with spectra flame orange. More people need to hear this.
True but it seems even without the mirrors people have had the doors already ripped off and glue plastered on them too. Disappointing to see the quality control on those McLaren RLCs.
@@hiddengemsstation8538I have a theory that the QC went down due to increase of batch numbers. It’s easier when you make a small number like 3k or 4k but because RLC is extremely popular, and has high demand, especially the JDM castings, they have to cut corners. I feel bad because I genuinely believe the team is passionate about their projects. If they were not they wouldn’t take the time to sit down and talk to Lamley about what they make. Regardless of what Hot wheels RLC does, people will be upset.
@@I_O246 their limited releases won’t be so limited anymore tho especially with that Overdrive membership. Charging people $100 for a bit plus the product and shipping cost to have quality go down is kinda dumb if you think they were real passionate about their projects. Just look at the candy striper gasser, didn’t even make it to full production either, they legit made people fund the project themselves vs having Mattel actually care about the people and do more to help. I wouldn’t be D riding a company so hard especially since they could give less of a crap on any suggestions people make. No one buys HotWheels for quality anymore, you’re just buying because of the brand tbh.
@@hiddengemsstation8538I got my McLaren and the QC issues were present. Mattel needs to do better if they want this overdrive membership to last. I’m reviewed the McLaren on my RU-vid channel: Prelude boy 99. You’ll see what I’m talking about
@@hiddengemsstation8538hes talking about the designers like these guys being passionate about their projects. These guys are completely different from people in the boardroom making business decisions like overdrive and crowd funding. Honestly have no idea how you managed to confuse this
In the 60s, corgi had a MB 600 with four opening doors, which was a big deal for the era, but it was also 1/43 scale. so, at 1/64 scale + four opening doors is a huge deal! what an achievement.
Siku's 600 pullman also had 4 opening door and a 1/60ish scale plus opening hood and trunk. And it also have detailed diecast grill with the star on it and the lights are all separate parts. Plus siku's pullman is way more accurate and just shows the stance of this mercedes so well. Hot wheels on the other hand has four opening doors on a SWB is quite cool and nobody has done a 1/60ish or 3 inch diecast of the 600 swb, so that's a good thing
Thanks to RLC OVERDRIVE, I've received every model offered this year. And appreciate them coming up with this program. Listening to the suggestions. That we provided. It's gonna be a great year. Would love to see some special edition 1/18 or 1/24 . We missed out o. The large 55 candy striper gasser. I purchased 2 of them to help the cause but not enough others interested in. With the sky-high pricing of the first edition. I thought more individuals would jump on the chance to have the opportunity of getting their hands on one. Especially investment purchases. Thanks Brendon I'm loving the new 67 barracuda
Finally some vintage redlines monster trucks‼️‼️ y’all need to do vintage hot wheels 1/43 scale also y’all need to some how incorporate some of the vintage heavyweights in some form, Great work guys
They did do 6 1/43 muscle cars in RLC in the early 2000's and they weren't a big hit and had low production numbers. They're barely worth what they sold for originally. I have the full set in storage.
4:50 The "Try To Crush Me" reminded me of a kind of redesign of a tricycle, I don't know why but it's worth dreaming. 2:40 The "Nissan Frontier" looks very brutal, and it will look better with the design already finalized. 3:50 It looks very strange, but it's a cool concept, I already see a treasure hunt version of that collaborating with Nike 😂
@@sseltrek1a2b I can only imagine the amount of prototypes they went thru to get the right color effect 😳 Constantly checking for an actual drop date cause I am NOT about to pay a scalper $100+ for this one 😓
That Skyline Midnight Purple is HOT I want one Love to see an 118 Scale like that I have never seen the red Blister Pack ones here in my stores is this only USA I live in Canada The Black GMC looks like a Jimmy Truck they need to make one Glad your going back with the older look paint jobs I have a Blue Lincoln like the black on but doors don't open has it for a few years now That purple truck the back turns around looks like a rocket bomb launchers That Mazda RX-7 is the Bomb
People complain about recolours and pushing out the same castings again and again but there's some real innovative touches that other diecast manufacturers don't do.
@@dnoe9666 Not for me. They charged me for the pink mustang without a chance to opt out. I didn't even know it was coming out I got an email asking if I wanted to skip the Mercedes. No email about the mustang. Just a sudden change on my account
ok verry cool car but , why never make a formula one boat ? or f3 race car ? or legends car (darf car )...or freesbee can am lola ? ...allway jdm ...or muscle car....
Im glad the Integra didnt use Spectraflame for either release. I need more pure white Type R's and Spectraflame yellow most of the time looks like straight piss.
@@port8565 yeah ok there was one. Which was STILL 30k which is not a small exclusive collector number. At this point they should have saved their pennies and not numbered those. Anyhow most have been 35k plus. Im pretty sure everything they showed here is going to be produced at 35k plus. Now as for next year, I have a feeling we are going to start to see numbers dwindle. People are getting tired of all the BS at RLC now. You know the old saying " if it ain't broke don't fix it." Every year I have been at RLC they changed the rules, taken things away, added weird chit like Overdrive etc.Not an exclusive club by stretch of the imagination at this point.
@@port8565 Skyline still took more time then usual. I think around 15 minutes. and anyone with a good connection got it. Still there are at least 35k of it It's not gonna be some instant holy grail or something. Limited yes. Everything made in the world is limited. 😂 Exclusive Collectable limited??? NO..not even close .if you want that you have to go to mini gt, tomica limited vintage or even some Johnny Lightning and Autoworld. They REALLY have some limited releases. 1500-3000..And great prices as well. Mattel doesn't do that anymore unfortunately.
Well i think if they are a sneak peak part 3 of the basic lines i think there ate hypercars. But i think the Pagani abñnd mclaren are for the next year. Who knows 🤷🤔🤔🤔🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ok I am seeing I need almost every one of these. RLC cars. Thankfully I already scored the chameleon Skyline R-34. I have to have that Nissan 720 minitruck, the yellow Integra because the yellow is awesome, the Typhoon, the Continental, the Supra, and the Dodge Power Wagon. I want the Datsun 510, the RX7, and the '71 Lamborghini.
