Here in the UK, Tarmac Works are roughly double the price of a Hot Wheels Premium which I think is justified when you do a comparison such as this video. What I don’t understand is the hype and resale prices of HW- why would you pay £50/60/70 upwards when you can get a better, more detailed and accurate version from a premium manufacturer like Tarmac, Inno64 etc?! Anyway nice video my man 👊🏼
@@oliverjones6687 I highly recommend greenlight if you pick one up cheep ( there are some) I'm more into commercial / normal cars instead of the Hot wheels crazy ones so greenlight is great
Thanks for watching the video fam 🙏 You bring up a good point.. Hot Wheels are cheaper in retail but I understand in other countries, it’s impossible to find one fresh off the pegs so you have to buy them at resale. Then the value for money definitely is better getting the tarmac!
hotwheels car are getting lazier with each release they slap a couple of vynls to the car and overpriced it amd called it a new limited car when a collecter grade car is cheaper such a supra from tomica only going only for 5 - 10 $ but hw car going for around 10 - 30 dollar
indeed. Even when i saw the sillhoutte r35 ver from transport. Makes me realized HW is now only following the hype without having the matter of licensing. Slap them into one of our existing casting and sold em
Yes but they still sells well because most hotwheels collectors are not in the hobby for the cars but for how much they can resell the cars. Hotwheels are not about the hobby, it’s about the money and money trumps details and quality so yeah.
Everything mentioned in this comment thread is 100% facts. If it’s any consolation though, Hot Wheels are still the cheapest “Premium” cars out there. If I had $100, I could either get ten HW premiums at $10 each, or only 3 to 4 scale cars with that money.
MiniGT, Poster Cars or cheaper Greenlight models would be better bet for you then if you prioritize too being able to toy with it and carry it around but still want it to look better than HW's all-age focus. Or you know, just bring the TW with it's box.
I have an Fd3s Rx-7 yellow tarmac works and the detail is insane. But I like the hotwheels version better because I can mess around with it or customize it. But the tarmac version is so much more detailed
also got to factor that the tarmac version is a much recent release so getting the tarmac version should be easier in general since the team transport youll have to get it through online or a middle man and pay more, unless you get lucky at a old shop.
I like the hot wheels s15 because I understand what it is and isnt. Its a representation of the real car not an exact replica. Its a collectible toy and i like toys 😂. Plus in the US its cheaper then tarmac works 😅
