The Tomica version of Subaru wins on details and has suspension, BUT we're comparing a basic Hot Wheels model to a Tomica Premium, so it's not exactly a fair comparison. Yet, the Hot Wheels Subaru holds its own pretty well. I'd be happy with either of the two models really. Thanks for the comparison D.
I have a question:i have a Ferrari 308 gts and a chevroletor with speed machine wheels and really good paint quality.the Ferrari is deep red with flakes.are they rare?
I guess Tomica has +1 because with a plastic spoiller you can actually custumize the car and put a bigger or wider one so i think Tomica engeneerd it very well. PS: Im HW fan and collector gj Tomica.
I agreed that Hot Wheels has nicer wheels and Tomica premium 22B had less details but one thing I would say that in Tomica Premium 22B wheels was base on real life stock 22B wheels...!!!
@@simonsalmon8093 what I am reffering was the wheels and not the entire model...! Yes Tomica as the whole model was more detailed than the Hot Wheels but the only thing I didnt like was Tomica wheels are from the real stock 22B but they didnt bothered painting the gaps of wheels black and the Hot Wheels version of 22B Wheels looks like a propered tuned one...!!! I like both Models tho...!!!
Hotwheels JDM is very hard to find in Malaysia for the retail price. Malaysia scalpers tend to like scalp so much on jdm Hotwheels. For this i prefer Tomica at least i can find it in the store for the retail price.
I get your POV about having to add your own "after details" & saving Tomica some work-why should you? It's a shame their wheels let their model down a lot. Black inside the spokes would transform it and make it worthy. I liked what you did with the HW model, by adding some better wheels to it. Probably the best thing Hot Wheels have made for us this year, along with the Bugatti Chiron (I would say the Mod Rod is a much-underrated model too!!). Can't wait to fit gold chrome Wheels Republic deep dish wheels to my HW 22B
Welcome back Dorifto! Ye, the Tomica is dandy and all that, but the Hot Wheels is a better bargain, about the price. The Tomica 22B just looks disappointing on some details (no side mirrors and the crappy wheels).
They are kinda all have disproportions As my dad owned a rare 2000 Subaru Impreza Sport Special I can tell you that. Tomica is more accurate but If both was mixed it would be perfectly proportioned.
Tomica got the proportions and wheel design correct, but the actual wheel itself and the plastic spoiler ruin it. This is where Hot Wheels wins. The wheels and metal spoiler are better on the HW, and they also got side mirrors which Tomica doesn't have. And when you think about the fact that if the HW comes in a premium line like Car Culture, getting full details all around, and it's going to still be cheaper than Tomica that's when the HW really wins the comparison for me.
