So you reached the end of season 1 And both your favourite characters are dead. Your possibly thinking I don’t know if I’m gonna be into it without my favourites. !IT STILL GETS BETTER! 😁 And your still sweet summer children 😂 you’ve got a while till that changes but you will know when you get to the episode 😱😭😱😭😱
You're a bit confused by Yoren's treatment of Arya. If he treated Arya as "the daughter of a noble" it would be insanely obvious to everyone that it was Arya Stark. Her cover would be blown immediately and she would be captured the second word spread.
Also the Starks are considered enemies of the king and would be quickly taken hostage. Especially with the Starks having Jamie. So no one can know who she really is. That's why he can't just take her back home
Something interesting about your experience is that the surprise factor seeing Daenerys’s dragons is not as strong, because of course HOTD is way more impressive. Just remember that in this time, dragons were extinct, no one alive had seen one before these eggs hatched, and Targaryen dragon riders were, for many, just a tale of legendary warriors. That’s why seeing Daenerys with three baby dragons (the only ones in the world) is a HUGE deal, even for Jorah.
For viewers as well. In House of the Dragons, dragons are common place. But when we saw the dragons at the end of this episode, we didn't know for sure there would be dragons(except for book readers), esp. since it was said how these eggs were made of stone and were not working. So people went nuts. lol
Also, Aegon I originally conquered Westeros with three dragons. For those wanting to see a return to Targaryan rule, it could make some people see her as a second coming of Aegon.
yeah this is the shadow side of coming from HOTD. People who start out with GoT have that sense of wonder because they couldn't know dragons really were a thing. And they also follow along learning about dragons - how big they can get, that they can be ridden etc. In that regard Spartan & Pudgey know more about dragons than Daenerys.
Daenerys surviving the pyre is also a huge deal. This kind of magic is unheard of in present day Westeros, which is why Jorah and the others bow to her, as they are witnessing a miracle.
I’m watching both shows together but I was still hyped for this moment cause I know dragons were long extinct by this time period. It was emotional watching this scene.
Yoren (the guy who saves Arya) is a recruiter for the Night's Watch, as we see with Jon's story a lot of the people who join the Night's Watch are criminals or people who have nowhere else to go, they also swear to not get involved in the wars or politics so get a sort of immunity to avoid being targeted by any warring factions. Though only really the North holds any lasting respect for the Night's Watch whilst the rest of the Kingdoms just see it as a distant and sometimes convenient place to send criminals and people who have no other place (second sons, bastards, etc). Yoren saved Arya out of loyalty and respect for Ned (through Benjen), but as the Lannisters are looking for Arya he can't afford to treat her differently. If he did then the Lannisters might get wind of a mysterious girl being taken out of the city by a Nights Watch man and putting two and two together, not to mention that the other recruits are mostly criminals so if they suspected that Yoren was favouring Arya or suspected who she is or that she's a girl then the other recruits might try and get her to the Lannisters or just kill her/rape her so on and so forth.
I have to say he was the most talented of the child actors - he really sells it. The only one I felt was his equal was young Octavian from the HBO series ROME.
Jack Gleeson was fantastic in this role. It's a shame people can't distinguish from reality and fantasy, because he doesn't deserve the hate for a fictional villain role.
At this point, this is the first appearance of dragons in the last 150 years. When we watched it back then, there was no HOTD and dragons seemed like something incredible because they were long extinct
"Only death can pay for life" Son, witch, and Drogo are dead, and in exchange you get Rhaegal, Viserion, and Drogon (the dragons) Keep it up, this has been a genuine treat to see your reactions to this outstanding season.
No the THREE deaths were Drogo, Witch, and Herself(Dany) Danys son was used to bring Drogo back to life but he turned mindless in books. So it wasn't Danys baby.
"Ned deserved better. He should have gone out as a hero." I know it hurts, but he did. He was a hero, one of the few left. He soiled his honor to protect his family and ensured that the Night's watchman Yoren was able to save Arya. He did everything he could in the face of death to protect his family, the man was an absolute hero.
Poor old Yoren, so many people fail to recognise him at this point! He was there at the Wall with Tyrion, talking about eating bears' balls. He travelled with Tyrion towards Kings Landing, staying at the best inns - until Catelyn intervened. He hurried to tell Ned: "It's your wife, My Lord, she's taken the imp." And as he tries to smuggle 'Arry out of the city, he's met with, "Who's he?" Spartan - listen to Pudgey. Yoren is doing the right thing. What's he going to do: march out of KL with Arya in a fine carriage with 'Here's the Stark kid!' on the side? You do have to see Mirri Maz Duur's point of view. 'The Stallion Who Will Mount the World' - that word 'Mount' should be replaced with a very well-known word that starts with 'F'. This episode contains my favourite piece of dialogue in the whole show, though sadly you cut it out: "Honour made you leave, honour brought you back." "My friends brought me back." "I didn't say it was your honour." - James Cosmo is so good as Jeor Mormont. It was so interesting seeing your reaction to the birth of the dragons. "Finally!" To those reading the book, then watching the show, this was a wonderful miraculous moment. Don't forget, Magister Illyrio gave the eggs to Dany saying "The ages have turned them to stone, but they will always be beautiful." These aren't the eggs of HOtD, they're fossils. “As Daenerys Targaryen rose to her feet, her black hissed, pale smoke venting from its mouth and nostrils. The other two pulled away from her breasts and added their voices to the call, translucent wings unfolding and stirring the air, and for the first time in hundreds of years, the night came alive with the music of dragons.” And lastly, George R.R. Martin wields his axe like life does. Even mighty warriors are brought down by the tiniest of nature's creatures. It's been great finding your channel and watching these two shows with you. Onward and upward!
@@Quetzietse Hi. Not sure what 'R' stands for but a stallion mounting a mare, that has a very specific meaning in the horsey world. But we do agree, Miri Maz Duur did the right thing, by her principles.
The fact that Drogo and Ned didn't get epic honorable deaths is frustrating, but it's also what makes you invested. Firstly, it makes you REALLY hate Joffrey. And secondly, it means that everyone can end like that, you won't have a guarantee of a satisfying ending for the characters you like. So when they're in danger, it can get really tense.
The actor for Joffrey was perfect! He made the character I hated so much and made him come to life. It’s too bad idiots had to ruin things by sending hate mail to the actor.
@@Polo-wk7zl I was pointing out the irony that a man of honor dishonored himself and handed Joffrey the reason to execute him as a traitor without appearing a tyrant, likewise the beast Drogo was also denied the warriors death he deserved. Ned did falsely confess he was going to kill Joffrey and take the throne for himself, when we all knew he supported Stannis. He was a dead man either way.
@@Red021686 Yes, but you said he was killed because of his false confession. That is categorically false, he was going to be killed anyway. His false confession failed to save him, meaning he was killed in spite of it.
Ned DID deserve better, but that’s the whole horrible point. Instead of this brave and honourable man going out fighting, he went out on his knees after trading his honour, in order to save his daughters lives. It sucks on so many levels!!!! But this is the beauty of GoT, honour and bravery will only get you so far, if you want to win, you have to play the game…. 😕
And I think there are many fans who still don't seem to understand this years later. This isn't Disney or any other fantasy story where loyalty, honor and bravery will somehow make you win all. Sometimes, those same traits can put you in terrible, even fatal positions, as was the case for Ned Stark. Sometimes, the worst ones live, while the best of people get exactly what they _didn't_ deserve. Because that's the reality of the world, and that's kind of GRRM's way of writing.
@@StinkyGreenBud I did. It was great. Just like they said above “this show isn’t about giving you a fairytale ending” Just because it didn’t end how people want they say “bad writing” lmfao
Arya's treatment isn't because he doesn't care for her well-being. It's because absolutely no one must know her true identity until she gets home. Any type of special treatment or favoritism would reveal suspicion. That is is why he has to treat her like any other recruit so that she can blend in and help to sell the disguise.
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 Yep he wouldn't be risking himself and the rest of the Nights Watch if he didn't care. I say the Rest of the Nights Watch, because if the Lannister's find out the Nights Watch is showing Favoritism to the Starks, then they would be also viewed as an enemy.
@@BlackDeathThrash I agree, she is so much better at picking things and I sense a little bit of arrogance from him, not gonna lie. It's like he never wants to be wrong. He should just listen to her sometimes.
Once again pudgy was observant enough to put two and two together and understand why Yoren treated Arya like the rest of the recruits. She has a knack for picking up on things and remembering names.
As Ned was being led out, he spied Arya near the statue of Baelor. He said simply "Baelor" to Yoren(?) who immediately understood and made his way over to the statue to protect Arya from the actual sight of her father being beheaded and helped her to get out of the city alive. Ned at one point looked back over at the statue to confirm for himself that she was no longer (visibly) there.
Maybe it would be good for them to keep in mind what G. R. R. Martin said about writing his books: "I want readers to be scared to turn page. I want them to be scared what will happen." and he kept his promise in all books. As per usuall when comes to switiching from books to movies changes are needed, books rarely are easy translated to movies, but I will give it to everybody engaged in series - they kept this promise also.
@@bereasonable8018 not to mention Robert as well. There was a reason for hiring such big actors for those three roles. For us viewers to think "no they wouldn't kill them off"
You both kinda missed what happened with Daenerys and the 3 dragons. The baby dragons hatched and Daenerys was there in the fire with them and they look at her as their mother. So yes all 3 of them have a very VERY strong bond with her that you do not see in the house of dragons. In fact GRRM said her bond is the strongest that has ever been. IIRC he said this was the only time a Targaryen was more that just a bonded rider and that magic was in the mix. These dragons will do whatever they have to, to protect her and do what she wants. Because she is their mother and they were born though her magic.
One parallel from HOTD and GOT is Rhaenyra and Daenerys both giving birth to stillborn babies with dragon-like features. It ties in with the lore that Targaryens have dragon genes/blood. It's what makes them special.
“Only death can pay for life.” This is blood magic that brought the dragons back into the world. Dany learned for Miri. “I will, but it is not your screams I want, only your life. I remember what you told me. Only death can pay for life.” “And for the first time in hundreds of years, the night came alive with the music of dragons.”
@@razorreacts1723 I’m spoiling the book that’s been out for more than 20 years that is pretty much tied exactly to a scene from a show that they just watched that in no way spoils anything going forward? It just offers an explanation. But continue to sit on that high horse bud.
@@Nathan-yw4yj it could be out 100 years clearly you know like we all do they never read it ..people read them to see the differences in dialogue and events no point in that if you write every major event from the book in the episode they are watching 🙄
@@Nathan-yw4yj it's illogical to expect completely different events or perspectives from a show to a book My fault I had no idea books and TV shows never deviate from or change plotlines. So yes it in fact is spoiling the book friend ☺️ if you had a little common sense I wouldn't have to be telling you this from up here on my high horse
@@razorreacts1723 two sentences from a book aren’t going to ruin it for you. Not sure how you can say I’m writing ever major event from the book by quoting dialogue that is fairly consistent to what was in the show to offer more of an explanation. Seems to me you just enjoy whining. 🤷🏻
You guys are the purest summer children post-GoT reactors that I have ever seen, and I am so grateful! Every reaction channel that started reacting to GoT while it was at its peak, or after it ended, liked to say that they haven't been spoiled, when it was clear from their reaction that that wasn't the case. I'm not saying they were lying, but they were definitely underplaying how much they already knew. I'm ecstatic that it's not the case for you, because I love your reactions! Stay pure! And mods, keep fighting the good fight!
It reminds me of watching with friends who had not read the books. There is so much going on and they didn't know who were back ground characters or throw away lines. That everything means something when you watch it the second/third time. It really can be overwhelming world building to keep up with if you are not used to it.
Interesting watching you watch the Daenerys with three baby dragons scene. As you're more familiar with House of Dragon, the idea that one character can have three dragons is unusual, but it's all new to Dany also. She doesn't have other people to help her with them.
Yoren, the guy who got Arya, is acting that way under the guise that Arya's just another recruit for the wall. He doesn't give special treatment because he knows King's Landing has eyes and ears everywhere, and this is him being careful to get Arya out of King's Landing without being detected by any of the Court's spies in the city. He doesn't give special treatment to the other recruits, so if he singles out one person, it will look suspicious, especially since Yoren is from the North, even if the Wall is supposed to be neutral no matter who is on the Iron Throne. This is my understanding of it.
This, exactly. He has to essentially smuggle her out without anyone knowing where she went or who she is with, because the Crown wants her as a valuable hostage. So he disguises her as just another recruit with the plan to take her north.
And the only reason he's doing Ned this "Favor" is because Ned's brother is a brother of The Night's Watch, so by extension, Yoren considers Ned his brother, too.
So true. Out of most the people we see he understands how things work better than most. He has seen the worst of the kingdoms and humanity, both in the criminals he recruits and the lords that in many ways are no better if not far worse. He knows how this world works and that there are eyes everywhere in the city, even those that might wish to help Arya would still just see her as a pawn to be used, best thing for her is to get her out of the city with least attention to her from anyone as possible.
When Ned died I had NO idea how this show can continue. But as it progressed, I was amazed at how it turned out!. Season 2 here we come. Long live the STARKS!!
Pycel definitely acts old and weak in public so he wouldn't seem like a threat and only looks like a wise harmless old man. have to say it's genius lol
You mentioned that it seemed odd an infection took out a warrior like drogo. I actually noticed something while watching your reaction-- the witch said after drogo was cut "let me clean the wound or it will fester". Knowing what we do about the witch now, I suspect she intentionally caused the infection while cleaning it, so imo he was murdered. Loving your reactions and looking forward to s2!
Came here to say this. That was Dany's mistake, if she had trusted her husband he would have been fine. She was too innocent and trusting of the witch, alas.
@@DancingSamurai His infection got bad because he ignored MIrri's treatment and the dothraki replaced it with a crappy poultice and slapped mud on it. The vegetative state is definitely her fault though, intentionally.
@@suddenimpulse030 There is no way that there is enough evidence one way or another. There has not been any other mention of sting me nots or firepods to know if they are a good source of healing or not.
He is like a lot of people who watched when it aired. Maybe weren't even into fantasy. I had watch parties with some football watching friends. So only some were familiar with the books. Others just wanted epic fight scenes. So they missed a lot of the world building and exposition stuff. It can be hard to remember what it was like to learn about this world and keep up on first view.
replying to OP, SPOILER warning for Spartan & Pudgy......don't read ahead.... Well GOT has plenty of plot-armor for Jon Snow for all his repeated stupid decisions that should have gotten him permanently killed...one of the most unrealistic characters to have lived this long imo among other few key characters in an otherwise ruthless show. Not sure why ppl like such a dumb character such as Jon so much who mopes all the time, feeling sorry for himself instead of learning & improving his poor judgements, who makes one stupid decision after another and never learns from them endagering others and saved only by thick plot-armor.
That "eeugh" sound was a perfect descriptor for Joffrey, haha. I'm so jealous you guys have 7 more unwatched seasons of this to tide you over until the return of HotD, but at least we all get the fun of watching along again with you.
@@rishithapremachandra9911 I'm not going to say anything one way or the other and try to poison Spartan and Pudgey in any form. I'll let them make their own minds up about the later seasons.
The denial of the deaths of Ned Stark, Syrio Forel, and Khal Drogo is hilarious 😂😂 "There's no way we lose him (Drogo) and Ned in the same season" "I wonder what happened to her teacher, I reckon he's alive". Ooooh boy!! Welcome to Game of Thrones sweet summer children, where there is only one god and his name is Death. Great reaction!
He’s pretty dismissive of her opinions, it’s sad to see. Classic male overconfidence, assuming he has better understanding even though the opposite is true.
Sansa's last interaction with Ned in the show is him telling her "Someday, I'd make you a match with someone worthy of you, someone brave and gentle and strong." I imagine that must always be in her mind after Ned died or every time she has to suffer Joffrey's cruelty. Makes me emotional...
The man who's taking Arya north is named Yoren. He's another man of the Night's Watch. He's colloquially called a "wandering crow", he goes around collecting new recruits for the Wall. And he's instructing Arya on how not to give away the fact that she's a girl, much less a Stark. PS. Until the Targaryens showed up 300 years ago, the Starks ruled the North for thousands of years as Kings in the North/Kings of Winter. PPS. The witch turned Drogo into a vegetable, effectively lobotomised him. So, Dany put him out of his misery rather than let him live like that.
I loved the fact that dragons had been gone for centuries and Danearys is the one to bring them back to this world. I mean, she really carries all of her family's fire & blood. What a legend! Furthermore, she reminded me of Daemon when she said to the witch: "you're gonna die screaming". Can't wait for season 2
The witch and Drogo had to die in order for Dany's dragons to live since "only death pays for life." The third death for the third dragon is a subject of much debate. Some say Rhaego, some say Drogo's horse, some say the wine seller, some say Qotho (Drogo's bloodrider).
Your almost non-reaction to the dragons hatching is so hilarious to me! I guess that's the downside to getting into this show late and seeing HotD first. At the time the show aired, people who had read the books were in the minority, and despite some foreshadowing it was not a common idea that these dragons would hatch. In-universe, nobody has seen a living dragon in generations and they are truly believed to be extinct. The impact this reveal had was a little bit lost on you, which is a shame. Despite that, there is still so much for you to learn and understand, I'm really looking forward to your future reactions. You are sweet summer children still ;)
The "King in the North "is one of my favorite moments in the series. The North used to be its on kingdom ruled by the Starks for thousand of years. It was only because of the dragons 300 years ago that all the kingdoms (Riverlands, Westland, Stormlands, etc) bent the knee. And 300 years really isn't that long in the grand scheme of things.
@@pilzamcatane3648 Yeah that was kind of disappointing, not that it’s their fault but yeah.. The birth of Daenerys’ dragons is such a magical moment for those who didn’t know it was coming (and hadn’t watched HotD yet). I still think the best order would be to watch GoT first, then start watching HotD
Yoren needs to treat Arya like everyone else in public to maintain her cover. I suppose having watched HotD already would kind of lessen the impact of the final scene, that was ending on a spectacular high note when we watched it originally, and not just because Emilia Clarke was naked.
Ned Stark is very highly regarded by The Night's Watch that's why the guy is taking Arya up north, away from the danger of the Lannisters. Also, both her brother Jon Snow and her uncle Benjen Stark are at the wall. Great reactions guys!!
If Yoren treats Arya like a lady people will start to question and the city is full of eyes and ears. He is trying to keep Arya Stark hidden and safe... so he is treating her like he treats all the gutter rats he takes north to the wall.

@@robross864 To my knowledge the youtube comment system does not have that option. Unfortunately the moderation tools for youtube are pretty basic and rudimentary currently. We can't really do much of anything but delete whole comments, and then they go into a review section that S&P could look at, but they don't since obviously that would cause them to get spoiled.
So most of the other comments have already explained the Arya situation with Yoren. Just keep in mind that this is a GAME of Thrones. Lots of moving pieces on many different fronts. You don't only think of your next moves, but your opponents next moves.
33:12 Pudgey, you make an excellent point about Catelyn escalating the conflict between Jaime & Ned. However, there is one very important detail that you forget. Before Jaime attacked Ned with his guards, Ned had resigned as Hand of the King, because he didn't agree with Robert's decision to have Daenerys killed. My point is, had Ned not resigned, he would still be Hand, and with that title, Jaime would never dare to attack him, because Ned outranks him. It's only because Ned is temporarily no longer Hand, that Jaime sees this is as an opportunity to attack him. Remember that as Hand, Ned is 2nd in command after the King. People have to listen to him. By officially resigning, Ned gave up that power, not realizing that he was putting himself in greater danger.
The thing to remember about Jamie is that he is a noble man or at least tries to. However, people will always see him as the Kingslayer and automatically assume the worst in him. Which is why he slapped out the Lannister soldier that jabbed Ned in the leg, he wanted to 1v1 Ned and have an even chance at beating him. Jamie had a lot of respect for Ned and even admired his honour.
@@sithsethful I didn't mean he'd come up with some clever plan, I meant it's not that far fetched of a thought that Ned would survive the beheading since he wasn't using his head anyway. It's a joke.
I love your journey with this show so far! I love watching both of your theorizing about what you think will happen based on what you just watched. Keep going!
"I can't believe he died from a cut." IIRC, there was a king in one of the German kingdoms before unification whose squire died in battle. One of the roles of squires is to pick up their master in case they fall, because armor is too heavy for them to get up themselves. Afterwards, the king fell off his horse face-first into a shallow puddle. He drowned. Death doesn't know rank, and GRRM made this quite clear right off the bad with Ned and Drogo's deaths.
The witch is probably the reason Drogo's wounds festered so badly. Remember she was the one who "treated" his wound with some type of herb, she probably intended his wound to get infected for revenge.
A good way to look at this season is like a prologue for the series. Ned's death, zombies in the north, and Dani's dragons being born are essentially what ignites the events that unfold in future seasons.
just wanna say a big THANK YOU to you both for your reactions. Your slowly becoming one of my favourite reactors (up there with legends like Duo Reacts & Nikki & Steve React) Spartan your growing on me & Pudgy I LUV U SO much ❤️ Keep it up as much as you can...& I look forward to all your future reactions. Loved watching you guys go through this season of Game of Thrones, I hope you're planning on reacting to Season 2! You're lucky you can jump straight into the next season. :)
hey guys i just wanted to say that every time you upload a new got reaction you re literally making my day, every time im so excited to see your reaction to this incredible show
I just found your channel because of these GoT reactions. It has been really fun watching your reaction from the perspective of having watched HotD and knowing some of the Targaryen history. I love hearing you make hopes and predictions knowing what actually happened. Particularly with Ned and Drogo 😭 My condolences!
It's great watching you go on this journey, and becoming so emotionally invested. There's a number of points in the future that I'm looking forward to your reactions. That's all I can/will say.
Although I’m watching GOT with you guys but no I don’t think Targaryens can bond with more than 1 dragon, Dany’s case is different cause she gave birth to these dragons unlike other Targaryens and she can still only claim 1 dragon of these while the other two will just follow her since she’s their mother. This moment is really epic cause this is the rise of Targaryens once again cause dragons are long gone in this time period as we’ve seen in House of the dragon for about 150 years now. Being dragon riders has just become a legend tale by now, no one believes they exist anymore. Khal Drogo’s death is heartbreaking but I think it’s necessary for Dany’s character development. I’m really excited for your future reactions guys.
Haha, the dude on the right is such a summer’s child 😅 the behaviour of the Night’s watch recruiter towards Arya will seem very pleasant after a few seasons.
The music in Game of Thrones is top tier. It always fits the scene perfectly. Ramin Djawadi has been the composer for all GoT seasons & now HOTD. Hes had live concert tours in the past. Im hoping he will for HOTD, that will be an experience you cant miss!
I know I’m a year late but you have to remember that at this point in GOT (HOTD wasn’t out yet) and no one alive in the GOT world had never seen a dragon, they were a myth from stories to anyone who was still alive so when she came out with 3 of them it was a miracle and everyone adored her I think bec you are coming from HOTD your views are skewed a little (not necessarily a bad thing, just a diff outlook). It’s interesting to hear your theories and thoughts about it bc I’m a fairly new fan, I just finished season 8 about 2-3 weeks ago and I have since rewatched about 3 times haha. Just never give up cause this show is incredible! Lastly, Yoren saved Aryas life bc if she had been found in the capital (kings landing) she would have been killed immediately, so he cut her hair and turned her into a boy so she wouldn’t be recognized. He was taking her to winter fell on his way to the wall. Or she could have gone to the wall bc Jon is there.
hopefully season 2, the guy listens more to his gf. she is right a lot of the time. no hate. also, seeing these dragons, was everyones 1st time seeing dragons. so was huge.
After this episode aired, George R.R. Martin, the author of GOT wrote to the actor who plays Joffrey and it said, "Congratulations. Everyone hates you." 😂🤣
They didn't discuss it in House of the Dragon on TV, but in the books that's how Rhaenyra's stillborn daughter was described, the same as Daenerys baby in this episode, like a deformed dragon baby.
"Imagine losing Drogo and Ned in the same episode" Yeah that's why Drogo dies this episode 💀 Poor Spartan all his characters are dropping like flies. It's pretty important in my opinion to learn WHY the characters died, because both of them died because of their fatal flaws. Ned died due to his honor, he was TOO honorable and let Cersi know he knew. His honor killed him in a world( very much based on real life medieval times) that is very cutthroat. Drogo died because of his arrogance, he did not listen when his doctor told him to keep the wound clean and not drink, as well as he let himself get cut in the first place. Character deaths in this show almost always show the persons flaws, you may think that their deaths weren't flashy , because they are purposefully meant not to be. Someone who is honorable will die at the hands of someone who just doesn't care about that honor, and someone who is arrogant will die at their own hands.
I suppose as the result of watching HotD first, it wasn't that much of a suprise to you guys, but in the GoT timeline, dragons were gone for centuries and a lot of knowledge about them was lost, so they were almost like a myth. Even the eggs themselves were incredibly rare and a very valuable thing, so they were like a symbol of wealth and purely decorative since it was thought they turned to stone through the centuries (basically like fossils). So a lot of us thought the eggs were just like a gift to Drogo for his afterlife that would burn out in the pyre, without having a clue they would actually hatch, because no one knew how dragons hatch or how the eggs are taken care of. Love your reactions anyway and can't wait for the next season!
Love it when you guys debate about theories, actually! Sometimes it's hilarious, sometimes it's so impressive. Excited for your reaction in S2, let's goooo
The road to the wall goes through Winterfell. Yoren is smuggling Arya out of the capital to take her home. He's just trying to make sure she doesn't get discovered in the process.
"The other two pulled away from her breasts and added their voices to the call, translucent wings unfolding and stirring the air, and for the first time in hundreds of years, the night came alive with the music of dragons"... that last line in the book always gave me chills.
Stop making me tear up with you Pudgey I've seen this damn show several times already! Lol. You guys are a joy to watch and you come across as so genuine. Looking forward to future content.
Welcome to Martin's world. Anyone isn't safe, and not everyone dies a heroic or glorious death. This makes it more unpredictable. And just like real life and real history, kings and great warriors do die pathetic unceremonious deaths. Sometimes no grand speeches, farewell scenes,"going out with a bang". You really don't know when or how Death will greet you.
Yall are my favorite. Normally with more than one reactor 1 person takes charge, but you two bicker and debate and with a show like GOT that makes for a perfect reaction. Plus you care, not just for characters but details and understanding. Keep on going, plenty more to come, good and bad, Winter Is Coming
So yes, losing Ned Stark and Khal Drogo in the same season is tragic, but this story is so epic that you will come to see that they are not the main characters. That said, Ned’s death does have a huge impact on much of the rest of the story. Also, Ned and Drogo died early on in the books too. If I recall it was in the first book. This show is going to rip out your heart and and feed it to you, but it also will take you through just about every emotion including moments of great satisfaction and joy. Put on your safety belts it’ll be one hell of a ride!
Im very happy to hear that you guys did so well on your patreon. You guys deserve it. Very entertaining and fun all around, cant wait to see more content from you guys!!
"We want to see if Ned still alive..." oh, guys, I feel like I'm really cruel person because I'll will for sure enjoy your reactions to this show so much
