its actually something that if u dont watch the drama you cant feel the song but when u finish watching the drama and hear this song u will feel like dying and crying inside but really want a season 2
Yeah, you're right. The happy ending is the best way to end the story. But the sad one is the most remembered by audience because, ... it hurts their heart.
Iu series and happy ending doesn’t seems to go together lately, at least she rarely gets together with her male counterparts in the end! If we see here she gets reincarnated, in scarlet heart every one dies and the least darkest and probably most happy ending one the producers, in that series cindy(iu) never gets together with baek sung because that idiot gets rejected by his senior and doesn’t even give her much chance! I haven’t seen my mister yet but according to the things which I have read that one also don’t have romance so I don’t think Iu ends up with anyone!
Hotel del luna is one of the best Kdrama Storyline is great and funny .. Soundtrack is great... Romantic scene is great but the ending is hard to swallow even I understand JMW have to go but I feel really sad for GCS that he have to live his life without JMW it's very hard. I hope the ending should be like Mako should do something to give JMW can live like normal life again..
Mago said " when flower withers, it dreams of blossoming again. just like that you will live, meet and love again". So JMW and KCS as well as the others will have a normal happy life all togather with each other soon or later of course, just like the ending where all of them were present happy and resentment free with each other. that was probably a glimpse of how their future will look like.
The moment when she was about to leave and says "There were so many things I wanted to tell you, BUt now when we are here, I can't come up with anything."
although we can predict the ending when watching some beginning episodes (no listening to spoilers before) but in the last scene, when Man Wol walk into the tunnel i just can't stop crying
The scene on the bridge when MW turns back and smiles is because of the promise she made to Chan Sung. When they were in his room and deciding on how Man Wol will remember him, he drew her symbol on his hand and they both laughed and smiled, he said that she should remember moments like those, thus, that was probably her last memory of him triggering her to turn around and smile as if looking back at Chan Sung. Such a sweet but sad ending to their relationship.
(Putting a read more for spoiler warning for others that might be scrolling through) They met again in their next lives, did you not see in the end? She looked back when on the bridge, which you cannot do if you lose your memories by walking on the bridge because you forget the way you came, which is the reason they gave in the series for why the dead keep walking across without going back. Man Wol stopped, looked back and smiled, she didn't lose her memories because she remembered the way she came which is why she was able to stop and look back, and she smiled because she was also able to remember Chan Seong. Then in the later scene we see them all in their next lives. It actually didn't end abruptly with Man Wol leaving Chan Seong alone. That was in the past life because Man Wol and Chan Seong happen to be the same age in the present as they were back then. So we can see from the way they acted in the present (which is the part at the very end where they're all alive), they actually ended up together in their next lives. There wasn't actually any pain and loneliness because the separation in the end was only temporary. Like they had met again from their previous life (Chan Seong was a child in the far past that comforted Man Wol who was a child also at that time), they met once again in the present. So we can conclude that Hotel Del Luna is actually based on a recap of the story of how they met and fell for each other in the near past, and how that carried on into their present lives.
I've watched this drama three times already and it never failed to make me cry.. I still don't know how people can let the person they truly love go.. how can they survive it.. its heartbreaking
@@technicalproblem5498 Love is the reason people stick together because we are weak when it comes to love sometimes we need it and sometimes we let go because really peope change once it comes to love it makes them better did you see what he did for IU he changed her into someone better and that is thier love story but they wont ever let it go.
The worst feeling is when they got separated slowly. Everytime I hear one of its ost in a random store or somewhere it still gives me goosebumps. I have this weird feeling in my heart everytime
You know everytime youtube recommend this song, i always avoid it. Try not to remember this drama. Like when i scroll on youtube, suddenly i saw "hotel del luna", shit :(
@@ouissal3960 Good point, but he was actually trying to save her and her people. If I recalled correctly, he was caught creeping around with her and that's how it led to the group being caught. Don't think it was ever his intention to harm her and her people.
I think what made Chan-ung the better man was he was willing to let her cross with good memories. the Bug Guy did not sacrifice anything, he made that decision for himself only but did not bother to think how Man-wol will feel or turned.
the ending is sad because she is gone but it was a relief for both of them she is not chained to the moon tree anymore ..but in Chan-Seong's heart she will always be remembered due to moon flowers 🌺 in his heart and his pure love to her....I thought the ending would be different because when Ma Go said her time is stopped so I thought her time will start again when she will see off her first lover go chung myung but in the end ....I can feel the pain .... I can feel the loneliness... I can feel the pure love.. but at the end you can't make somebody to stay with me...this one is already decided by the deity

It’s 2023 and I still rewatch this show. I initially thought I wanted a happy ending for them in this lifetime, but thinking about it, it was unfair for JMW because all of the people in her life during the Joseon era (Yeonu and the queen) all had their chance to reincarnate, forget their painful lives, and be happy. They even ended up loving each other. Even JMW met the earlier reincarnation of KCS. It was only fair for her to move on since in a different lifetime, their reincarnations will definitely meet again.
At the beginning I didn’t like the old theme of the show I thought it was gonna be like that for the entire show but then I started to like the memories more it’s really good balance hotel del luna is a masterpiece
I don't understand why this Kdrama don't get popular like other Kdramas. This Kdrama deserve the attention of ppl. :< The meaning and the osts are so painful and so meaningful. I'm sitll addicted to HTL's OSTS. :
Just when I was ready to move on from this drama, this video shows up in my recommendation why? Hasn't I cried enough for this drama that you have to make me cry again with this video 😭😭😭
This was my first Kdrama ever. I was used to dramas in my region ( always same store, the rich guy fall for the poor girl).. Hotel del luna was something i have not experience before, cannot explain... ohh and the music.... stunning.... hotel del luna is the reason I'm an kdrama fan now.
At 0:05 and 3:25 , her expression like she has not lost anything is so innocent that my heart aches. I watched first 2 episodes but then stopped. My friend who finished watching the drama today told me about the end. Being an absolutely emotionless person herself, a tear ran down her cheek. I searched for this scene and now I find myself in a flood of tears. Love is beautifully painful.
Oh, it's worth watching, they let you know through most of the series how it will end, but give you just a hair of hope, still ends they way it was intended, and ya, I didn't like the ending.
It's been a month since I finished the drama. Every time I listen to the soundtracks, it the piercing feeling in my heart as if I'm rewatching the drama all over again.
its been years since i’ve watch this k-drama and the plot is kinda blurry to me but everytime i hear the ost it just makes me breakdown into tears. It still hurts my heart. 😭😂
there's something with iu acting.....you can completely feel the storyline..futhermore her crying scene made you want to cry too p/s : sorry for my bad english
Because she always picks the sad dramas to act in lmao she doesn’t have a happy drama but that’s a good thing because sad ones are always the ones that are popular
Now a days I’m really into K-pop and kdrama specifically in kdrama ost i already watch more then 51 drama on Netflix ~ I’m a addicted to kdrama One of the best drama I ever watch
They should have given them a happy ending like grim reaper and sunny ....wish JMW and GCS could have a happy ending even if in the last 10 minutes of the drama....💔
I think the sad ending when Man Wol walk into the tunnel is reasonable because when we watched some beginning episodes, the fact that they have to say goodbye to each is unavoidable. Although the end might be predicted but when i watch that scene, i just can't stop crying
They get back together in the future again, JMW doesn't lose her memory since one flower of the moon was placed in GCS's heart in the start Mago. And they will always be together in every life since GCS is tied to her.
Actually, she didn't lose her memories. That's why she was able to look back when crossing the bridge. Lore dictates that people keep walking forward across the bridge because when on the bridge they lose their memories of how to return, that's why it's said that no one ever comes back, but Man Wol remembers the way she came, which is why she's able to look back and smile, because she didn't actually lose the memories, at least not the ones of Chan Seong.
The best K drama I’ve watched I cannot forget and I cannot move on, Man wol and Chans sung can’t reunite and make own family thats what I expected but the ending is the most Heartbreakeable scene ever even now I cannot Imagine I cannot accept the ending its truely hurt 😭
Happy ending kdramas are good but sad endings are the best! Those sad memories remain forever in our heart! Just like moon lover, alchemy of souls season 1 ,hotel del luna & so on...😢♥
It's the bitter truth that she has to gone .. no matter what .. Man wol lived her past life in grief but coz of Goo Chan seoug she was able to move on and lived a few moments of happiness with him
Heart touching song 🥺🥺.I have also seen this drama it's outstanding and fantabulous drama. But the ending scene made us cry even more 😔😔.I want both of them together in the next season
this movie reminds me death is the most painful thing when you're the one left behind ,it tought me sometimes u hv to let ,cry ,get and live your life again like nothing happened
Even though I don't understand the meaning, I'm sure anyone who listens to this song will immediately understand that the lyrics are about sadness, I can see from the tone that the meaning of this song is really deep.. of all the Korean songs, I think this is the coolest song. that I've heard, especially if IU sings this song, somehow the meaning of the song just seems to be conveyed hehehe , best song i've ever heard 🥰🤗 Sukses terus pokok nya HOTEL DEL LUNA saya selalu menantikan season yg 2 😁
I have watch the drama it is really really good in last I cannot stop crying whenever I hear this drama song or any part I cannot stop myself from crying but this drama had become my one of the fav ❤️ love it. It’s been years yet I’m still crying every time I hear this song 😢 I just hope and pray that the person that made me loved this series is now in heaven. He died just before this series end.. 🤍
