As for the free drinks, there are plastic cups available which you can bring back to your room. For the breakfast, I am not really sure if it is Muslim friendly, but I am sure you can find dishes there that you can eat. Hi Steven! Thank you for watching my video! With regards to your query, if you are only travelling from Tokyo station to Kyoto station, you do not need a JR Pass. You can just go to any JR office located in major train stations like Tokyo station, and purchase a one way ticket there. A reserved ticket from Tokyo station to Kyoto station costs JPY14,170. You may also choose to buy a non-reserved ticket. As with Hotel Keihan to Gion, you can go to Kyoto station which is just across the hotel. Gion can be reached from Kyoto Station by bus number 206 (20 minutes). Get off at Gion bus stop. Alternatively, the closest train stations are Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Line and Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Line. But most packages offer rooms with breakfast. The room package we chose had daily breakfast and I must say that it was worth it.
