Our destination for a week was the Riu Papayas, which is located in the resort of San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Playa del Ingles). The famous dunes and the popular beach of Playa del Ingles are about 1500m away and were easy to hike. We used the free shuttle service to commute between the hotel and the beach several times.
From the seventh floor you have a drone view of the hotel, the surrounding area and the popular holiday resort of Playa del Ingles. In the restaurant and hotel bars you have to choose your own food and pour your own drinks, just like on the AIDA. The well-kept, tropically planted garden was sometimes a bit full because of the autumn holidays, but you could always find a lounger in the swimming pool and on the sun terrace. A water playground was interesting for our granddaughter and she quickly found new playmates during the treasure hunt in the kids club. The kids won't quickly forget the varied animation program in the pool area, the mini disco with Calu in the
evening and the daily changing evening shows.
