Hotel Tour! Reykjavik Domes in Iceland 

Hi! We went end of October to early November, which was the suggested time frame for the best possibility of seeing the Northern Lights. We were there for a total of 10 days, and we saw the dancing lights all, but one night. We took an excursion the first night and saw the lights right away. Then the following few nights, we saw the lights from our hotel in Reykjavik, and even from walking around the streets. We also saw the lights just driving around South Coast, but this was much more sporadic and short-lived, even with clear skies. But during our stay in the dome - this was the most beautiful and longest presence. The lights appeared and we were able to see from the bed inside the dome, while enjoying the cozy fireplace and sipping wine. This was a much more comfortable way versus on the excursion where we stood outside in our parkas and layers of blankets. We definitely felt lucky.
