In this all-new monster comedy adventure, everything seems to be changing for the better at Hotel Transylvania! However, Drac is worried that his adorable half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, isn’t showing signs of being a vampire. So while Mavis is on vacation, things get batty as Drac enlists his monster friends Frank, Murray, Wayne and Griffin to put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp!

9:51 Drac told Johnny in the first movie after he realised all the monsters were real that Drac uses a blood substitute (like manufactured blood) aperantly Drac doesn't really like human blood cuz it's fatty lol

They explained in the first movie that he doesn't drink human blood because you never know what they've eaten. He drinks Blood Beaters and Near Blood. Oh, and "Wonder Woman" was directed by a woman--Patty Jenkins. You guys are awesome! I love watching your reactions. 🙂

our Dracula in the movie is "THE COUNT Dracula" and his dad, the Vampa, is named Vlad Dracula, reference to the real Vlad Dracula, the Impaler, in our world

Actually Dennis is a Dhampir. half human, half vampire so Dennis is both a human from his father's side & a vampire from his mother's side. Dhampirs according to Balkan folklore are usually born of a union between a male vampire & a female human but other times Dhampirs can also be born between a union of a female vampire & a male human which is considered rare in Balkan folklore. Plus Dhampirs are immune to sunlight think of Blade (marvel character) & Rayne (Bloodrayne games) are also Dhampirs like Dennis.

The 3rd movie is by far my favorite and if or when you see it I think you'd understand why I favor that one , this movie was cute and it showed how different expectations are implied on children who are just trying to enjoy their lives

The second was okay but there were some downsides like mavis being hard on her dad that always try’s to put her first and being selfish about life living in that hotel she should have been grateful for living with loving Surrogate aunts and uncles, also at the end I wish drac and Mavis Apologize for the actions on each other and on Dennis.

I’m not sure if you know, JV but I think the term part 2 and part 3 etc is usually used when the movies have a continuous plot. Like infinity War and Endgame, you can call endgame a part 2. Just wanted to let you know. Love your vids, i rewatch them when I’m bored👌

Johhny and Mavis are two different species and they get married; a clear analogy to a mixed race couple. Dennis is half human half vampire; a clear representation for a biracial child. And considering his vampiric powers aren't showing up (till the end which I personally think is a cop out), it's a representation for a disabled child. And Dracula trying to make him into a vampire is basically a parent or a relative trying to make their disabled child act normal even when it may not be possible. And he and Mavis are both denying Dennis the chance to be a part of both the Human world and the Monster World. In real life biracial children are sometimes thrown into a situation where their families want them to choose one aspect of their heritage over the other. So how in the world did you come up with the idea that Dracula's actions are that of a homophobic parent? I saw the same thing happen in Happy Feet: where people somehow thought Mumble's plight of being a disabled penguin is that of a gay or a trans person. As a disabled person I find it offensive that the plight of our struggles to be accepted by not only our families and society is hijacked by the LGBT. That all of our representations are somehow assumed to be that of LGBT. And its even worse when a disabled person is also mixed race or POC.

Haii, so in no way i meant to be offensive, as i read youre a disabled person so surely you have more information/experience! But, i dont see this as disabled representation, neither lgbt! I see it more, as you mentioned, biracial child representation. At the end you see Dennis get his powers, this in a way of showing how he embraces his heritage, he's a vampire and still a human, he's both, he didnt have to choose one. So yes, thats how i see it. I can see how Justin thought of that since that what some people think first when they see things related with "accepting your child". But yeah disabled representation is so needed in media!!! (Sorry if i did any spelling mistakes english isnt my first language).

Dracula was based off a real Transylvanian ruler by the name of Vlad the Impaler. So the filmmakers named Drac's father Vlad as a nod to that fact.

In my opinion, Denis shouldn't have got fengs in the end. I get it, it's a kids movie but the ending is like, if you're not special become special anyway. And I don't think it's the best thing to teach. In almost every series or movies you got the moment when the power of the protagonist is revealed but come on, it doesn't work like that in real life. I only saw Monster Academy who addressed this issue.
