It certainly got louder since back in the day, maybe one day the motor will get some replacement . (No sign of noise on mine yet either, not sure it'll last 7 but hopefully 3)!! Still great to see it still working as good as day 1, bar the display (which used to be very bright??). Excellent video, thanks for uploading.
my display was never as bright as other ultima's to begin with, but certainty getting very hard to see what's on the display today, then again, it has done well for 7 and half years on a LCD screen, which back then were not very long lasting
thank you ***** , George the motor bearings have been broke since, well new, though I did not realize this till the guarantee was already over, still the motor bearings have not got worse in that entire 7 and half years of it being on this planet
***** I knew that because I was watching his vids since then and whichwasher2007 I meant now they sound worst than before but you can find cheap motors on the internet. It would have been torture to take out again the belt, replace the motor and put back again the belt !
George Savvi its the actual drum bearings that are the problem, they dont sound too good to me. only slightly though i think theyd have a bit of life left yet.
Marc your wrong in everyway, a board and bearings on one of these is nothing, WM's and WMA's are still worth repairing so dont give out advice like this, it doesnt have a sealed drum so its one of the best hotpoints out there. 100% worth repairing time and time again
