We went with the 2021 Telluride NightFall Edition Black on Black love it. Every time we take it out someone comes up and compliments the car saying how beautiful it is.
I am about to pick up my wifes new ride...we looked at both....she loved both, but the comfort of the ride and a few more gadgets made up our minds.....we got the Palisade.
My wife and I did the same. She was sold on the Palisades and would not consider anything else in class. We are so happy with the purchases. It delivers a tremendous value.
Just got a 2021 Kia Telluride SX Prestige nightfall edition in moss green and couldn’t be happier!!! Considering how hard it is to find them we were able to get extremely lucky and find the exact one we were looking for with all the bells and whistles.
Don't think you could go wrong with either as a family vehicle. I prefer the Telluride personally: the exterior aesthetics of the Nightfall is a much better look. However the Interior of the Palisade seem a little more luxurious. I love your comparison vids.....GREAT WORK !!!
Howdy, amazing comparison as always y’all! While I think the Pallisade looks better on the outside and the driving dynamics are similar, I think the Telluride is better on the inside, but to be honest, they’re both amazing mid sized SUV’s! I actually think Mason should get one of these when he sells the Elantra!😸😻😸
I didn’t know which to buy out of these two but I just bought the 2021 Hyundai Palisade Limited 2 weeks ago and I am glad I went for it. Looks more feminine to me, maybe if I were a guy would have gone with the Telluride! Both are great anyways...
I, Too was undecided but leaning towards the Telluride. We are a y’all family with two growing teenage sons. The Palisade seems like too much car, if that makes sense.
Next year i will buy the pallisade too. I am drooling after this car. I am waiting for my wife to be pregnant again so i can use the "we need more space" excuse:))
$50k fully loaded with premium stuff like napa leather, latest tech, modern look...just reveals other car companies have been ripping customers off for decades....
My wife and I tried for close to 1 year to buy a Kia Telluride. We were unable to do so since they are in such high demand. We were told time and time again to look at the Hyundai Palisade as an alternative option. We finally decided to look at the Palisade last week. We fell in love with it via video reviews we watched on RU-vid. We ended up buying a 2020 Hyundai Palisade Limited trim a few days ago. We absolutely love it so far.
For me, Telluride all day. The face of the Palisade is a deal breaker and I know I'm out numbered, but I prefer the analog gages of the Telluride. Why do manufacturers go out of their way to make entry/start up chimes so annoying? LOL
The palisade is only minimally better for the interior. Everything else for the telluride is better. I’m with you on this one. I think most people would choose the telluride too.
I'm right there with you. I strongly dislike all digital gauges. I prefer analog with a helper screen. And I hate the push button shifters in any and all cars.
Who ever is Reading this, and thinking of getting this SUV absolutely do it because you have a piece of mine with the warranty and I’ve had kids for a long time as long as you take care of your vehicle you’re going to be fine
I bought the Palisade white exterior/black leather interior. Can’t complain but now thinking about the all new tucson. Hyundai is not the same 20 years ago. They are really stepping up their game.
Last year I bought a 2020 Telluride. I was very satisfied but this year if I was to buy a car. I'll probably go with the Palisade. Mainly because the Kia dealerships. They are jacking up the price of the Tellurides because they're selling like hotcakes. God bless and stay safe!
Telluride is better one. There are so many problems with Palisade in Korea now. for example, gasket leaks and when it rained water actually leaks into the cabin etc..
Woud still get the Teluride.I have a Sorento Platinum and would love for Kia Australia to bring out the Telluride as i woudl trade up. Having driven and been driven in the Sante Fe i can still see myself staying with KIA, they are in my opinion a better all round option than their sister brand
Test drove them both and they are both awesome SUVs for the money. I went with the Telluride solely based on the sportier look both inside and out. If the Palisade front grill were a little less horsey I would have had to toss a coin. To me the Palisade has more a more cush/lux feel and Telluride has a more fun/sporty feel. Both awesome choices. I've had my Telluride now for 3 days and I still can't stop looking at it. It's perfect. When I pull in to the parking lot of the single track trail with my Telluride and my Mountain Bike on back it feels like the perfect fit.
I was convinced to get a Telluride around Oct 1 2020 because I had a KIA Sorento that I lease and the lease was up Oct 1. I did lots of research between the Palisade and the Telluride and leaned towards the Telluride, only thing that I didnt like about the Telluride SX was the ugly black colored wheels, I wanted Chrome much classier. Couldnt get a Telluride dealers couldnt keep them on the lots, test drove both liked both, did some calling and a Hyundai dealer got back with me and we hooked up, I leased a Palisade Limited, love it couldnt be happier and it is a 2021 with nice looking wheels. Great vehicle, great mileage for its size and AWD, more luxurious than Telluride, fantastic bang for your buck, plus free maintance during my 3 yr lease cant beat that, plus Hyundai dealer was 150 dollars a month cheaper on lease, very happy.
The DB measurement is irrelevant unless they are on the exact same road, exact driving, exact traffic around them. The palisade also has an optional roof racks and that alone adds wind noise to the cabin.
This guy keeps giving the Palisade more points for the rear automatic folding seats which are worse than the Telli which can be put moved by just pulling a string
There's something about analog gauges that are just... satisfying. I kinda wish they did a full sweep but hopefully soon the Telluride gets digital gauges!
Hi guys great video just found your channel a week ago. I'm in the market for a new car and looking at both of these models. I'm a single guy no kids, I like these for the warranties and all the interior features. If there are any other models you think I should check out please let me know. Thanks again for the great informative videos
Thanks! Some other 3-row SUVs with really nice cabins you could check out are the Toyota Highlander, Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon. I wont list them all out, but if you wanted to go smaller then the list of potential 2 rows would be enormous too 😅
Good video. Your score though is not represent true to critics and reviews these vehicles have received since arrival. The Telluride wins every category that they arent tied in. Also the Telluride is pretty difficult to get. While also being marked up across the country. The Palisade is really the one folks buy when they want a telly but dont want to wait for it or dont want to pay the markup. Palisades are actually being discounted because they just arent selling the same! Telluride takes the cake.
We just started looking at new SUVs. We started with the Infiniti QX60 and passed. Then the Acura and Honda Pilot. We’re next looking at the highlander and telluride and will def add the palisade! So excited to have so many options.
Both great vehicles however they picked a top Kia telluride and did not pick the top Hyundai palisade calligraphy, so wondering if the score changes from 4 to 3 to something else.
One tipping point on this decision is that most Kia dealers are only MSRP + Most all have a over sticker mark up. I can find Palisades in the same town equally equipped that will go for MSRP, possibly even less.... Unless you HAVE to have one over the other, the palisade is a better financial buy.....
I was comparing Infiniti QX80 to the Palisade Calligraphy since they were both similar on the exterior and my husband wanted to get me a new family car. The Palisade blew the Inifiniti out of the water. lol!! Infiniti fully loaded was almost $100k!!
The difference in the sound DB reading in favor of the Kia could be because it didn’t have the roof rack cross bars while the Hyundai did...I bet without the cross bars on the Palisade the DB readings would have been equal.
I'm sorry but the Kia kicks ass hands down. It's a bit more sporty. The only thing that I would love is a Panaromic moon roof and if the duel exhaust was on both sides like my Blazer RS
If every subscriber would share their video and get two other people to subscribe we can really help out the boys and show tge power of social media for the good it can do .
Idk. They’re both nice. But personally, there’s something about the Telluride. It’s different and looks more aggressive, especially if you get the nightshade and it blacks out everything. The palisade is nice, especially the interior, but there’s like a special feeling with the Telluride. Maybe because they’re a hot commodity and they’re flying off lots, idk. There’s just something about the Telluride lol
Should have used the palisade calligraphy instead. Also used same color combo. I don't think you would go wrong with either. It just comes down to your own taste. My wife loves her Palisades calligraphy.
I would get the palisade but swap the grill out. Looks better with aftermarket grills imo. But honestly the telluride looks better on the outside. Hyundai on the inside.
I ended up with the 2021 Telluride SX over the Palisade (and I came from a Hyundai Santa Fe). The primary reasons I chose the Tellurdie were 1) Looks. I know this is purely subjective, but I find the front end of the Palisade to be butt ugly. Just too much bling for my taste! The Telluride looks much more purpose-made (especially the Nightfall that I have) - more like a Rover. The rear end is good on both cars, but even there I just like the Telluride better. 2) I MUCH prefer an actual shifter as opposed to a car with a dial. For one thing, it is a 50+ year habit for me to rest my right hand on the shifter lever while driving out in the open spaces.
Love this channel and reviews! And y’all helped me make a solid choice on the XC40! Now Look at all the NHSTA complaints on the telluride and palisade! Look at actual owner reviews on this vehicle!!! It’s all nice and dandy on initial looks, review and test drive but owning one has been a nightmare for many 😂😆😂 and the ppl who paid more over MSRP are suckers
Chris Lawrence who said I was comparing? Lol 😂 I was stating facts on the nhsta website on the telluride and palisade I never once said I compared it to the XC40 lol I said their review of that car helped me make a decision. But none the less the telluride and palisade are overrated
The XC40 is a low volume vehicle. It sells around 1-2k vehicles a month where the palisade and telluride sell around 5-6 each. Also just looking at the Palisade NHTSA complaints almost all of them are about the windshield cracking most of which say a pebble or a rock struck the window and it cracked.
@@ScottHartley1 well then if that is your case on that, then how come the Toyota Highlander doesn't have as much complaints to the NHSTA as much as the TELLURIDE and PALISADE do... and don't get me started on the terrible halogen headlights that come standard on the Telluride on now 2021 EX trims and lower lol... smh also IIHS rates the headlights as poor for the telluride and average for the LED.
