I’ve got a Suzuki king quad 400 what I’ve learned is that when you wanna crawl through mud or thick sand throw it into low and they really like low just a little tip

You need to blend the head and get all the air out of the lines. That should stop the over heating issue.

Buy a EPI clutch kit. It wakes those wheelers up!

Does it have a water pump? That could be why it overheats.

Make sure that you put dialectric grease on the overheat switch/sensor. I have to do that with my Grizzly 660 every now and then.

Go to river ranch down in Polk County mate. Use to live that way for 18 years. Loads of land and mud holes

Try doing wheelies in Low it’ll pop the front end up

my grizzly 700 had that same lag problem. bought an epi mudder clutch kit worked ok now i have a coops clutch mods primary sheave mixed with the epi kit and it workers amazing

I have 2005 king quad 700 something seems off on yours maybe clutch. I have 28s maxxzillas and have absolutely no issues. I upgraded the belt only mod.

You need to wire the fan to a toggle switch so you can cut it on when you start it up

Fl trail riding is completely different in its self. You'll have fun down here now that u got a something to ride an play in the mud. Fl is great been here 30 years. Great job on the rebuild. Edit. Your not flooring it to fully break the tires loose.

You should look into a clutch kit or clutch springs. It will give the bike some more power for turning bigger wheels (it's like gearing a truck's differ lower). If you ever want some all-around good tires look into tires called terache Aztecs, they're really cheap for what they are and are extremely light and do excellent in FL mud and the sand only problem is that they tend to want to float in deep water so I would suggest running beadlocks and 0 psi. also if you're ever bored look up this guy named Mudpuppy he is a smaller RU-vidr based out of Orlando Fl. He runs the tires I was talking about. It would be cool to see you ride with him he rides in some crazy stuff like neck deep water and clay.

You need to do either the COOP 3 clutch mod or the cheaper thing is to buy the shim kit on eBay and do the 1.5 or 2mm shims.

Check the fuse that is underneath the rubber boot that looks like a relay it should be on or near your radiator somewhere bro, my z400 fan wouldn't come on and it'd get boiling hot if I ran her hard then I tore into it and found that fuse was popped and after I changed it have not had it get hot since

Ocala national forest is a must for you. But make sure you have gps that works with no service. It sucks getting lost out there.

If it ever overheats leave the wheeler on so the fan can cool it down and the diff lock is only for the front not all 4

put the radiator back in the stock location.

I think the issue with that unit might be the nut behind the wheel perhaps? Oh and the cooling might be a vapour lock and the cooling needs to be bled properly and the. The unit wont be fucked quite so easy but that nut behind the wheel

It should not over heat like that. Change the rad cap and the thermostat. Also a pro design inline super cooler will make a difference. Basically just a billet peice of metal with fins on it.

Had a 06 Vinson 500 and I hated it. Always ran but went through ball joints and tie rods and brake pads way way quicker than you would expect. Also slow and heavy. Hated it.

Test that Suzuki's ability to pull down some walls on the house. That might offer it up some abuse.

Regear it for the big tires it’s a little up there in price but it’s worth it

Put your fan on a switch

Do the shim mod on the clutch. It’s like a poor mans clutch upgrade. Depending on the the size shim .5, 1,1.5 mm it will give you a lot more low end punch but also limit top speed. The .5mm would probably be enough to regain what those tires lost you without losing too much top speed.

Test the snorkels and if it ever blows up buy a polaris
