I do not know anything, but i can easily see how a director can say "i want that group to do this" and an experienced animator can quickly change and do that. impressive. Hope Blender can manage to do something similar one day.
maybe blender can do this using particle system but the control over how crowd sshould be or how procedural should be the crowd may not be possible in blender(as of now) yes as u said it may come up with this department added into blender but to be frank houdini is amazing regarding massive stuff like fx,cfx and crowd departments
Ive noticed that usually in crowd behaviors agents do not touch each other or communciate with each other say like people hugging each other or wrestling fights...
Anyone knows what the Crowd Create Motion Path node became in houdini 19? I'm new to this and trying to figure out what method it has been replaced with now
