Two out of his 4 weapons are basically useless against ACs. The pulse gun does pretty much nothing against unshielded targets, and the Javelin Beta's delayed explosion can be seen from a mile away.
@@zchen27 I like the theory that he was sent to make Contact and fight Balteus, and just happened to run into 621 right as they went to do the same thing. His weapons still aren't great against Balteus, but Allmind's weapons are all kind of jank so there was no avoiding that.
@@zchen27 Why are you saying the pulse gun does nothing against against unshielded enemies? It does damage, and a pretty good one in close range as far as I know.
I love how in NG Sulla really seems to have a vendetta against Walter. Might have something to do with Walter's father orchestrating the first generation augmentations: low survival rate, probably lots of pain, and can't get revenge on a dead man, so his son will do. Then on NG++ Sulla seems to realize something about us, maybe due to Allmind's interference. He then tries to WARN walter, saying that we are "dangerous" (not wrong). His impending sense of dread overpowers his hate for Walter. Crazy.
It almost sounds like Sulla notices something about you that's similar to what that Allmind does. He and another pilot's code names show up in a briefing segment about the only 3 possible pilots who could achieve Coral Release. The third is obviously 621, the second likely O'Keefe but I'm wondering if Sulla knew that as well in NG++ and played coy with the information from ALLMIND. Edit: ALLMIND definitely sent Sulla in to make Contact before us. His setup is kinda anti-balteus, and his backstory is some crazy main character bait. When we fight him, he absolutely knows we're capable of Contact and like everyone else who knows about Contact and Coral Release, he wants us dead out of fear. Makes me wonder what was going through Sulla's head when he told Walter to forget about us. Was it a warning that Allmind was gonna take us soon? Or was he just BS'ing and giving some biting remarks in death?
Something to note is that Sulla's pilot data glitches when Allmind announces for him in the arena. When I first saw that in my first playthrough I knew something was up because Sulla just seemed so important. Sulla is one of the few characters that acknowledges the time loops it seems and is one of the missions ALLMIND directly intercepts in by sicking her snipers on you, but unlike when she attacks you and Igauzu, they don't shoot at Sulla.
O'Keefe is actually a Gen-2 updated to some later generation, and there's no Gen 2 highlighted. who C3-291 is is so far still a mystery. also there's actually a 4th candidate in that list, another Gen 4. and we only know of one other Gen 4 on Rubicon. Iguazu
Sulla was supposed to be the first trigger you can read it in a data log before you fight when he says forget about the hound Sulla knows allmind is gonna use 621 as a trigger
Kind of interesting how Sulla starts to warn Walter about 621 in NG++, almost like he knows what 621's going to be able to do with ALLMIND later in the run. All the stranger since he seemingly works for ALLMIND (or at least he doesnt clearly work for anyone else, and he has the same stealth craft ALLMIND sends out)
Oh shit, didn’t know he had so much dialogue. Now I Kindda regret killing him the moment he appeared, laser lance and pointy sticker him the instant he was targetable
I wish Fromsoftware expanded upon their characters more. I was seriously thinking there would be a lot more to this guy, due to him seemingly having history with Walter and his arena simulation glitching and whatnot, but there just isn't much more. I wanted to learn more about him.
Honestly, I think the real Sulla is dead by the time we meet him. He's probably been augmented with dangerous prototype augmentations for 40+ years, but he sounds pretty young. The Sulla we fight is perhaps just an ALLMIND copy, like the final boss of NG++.
Carla is said to be a Cinder. One of the survivors of the Fires of Ibis. But a bunch of the Dosers think she's much too young to be a Cinder. Maybe it's the same circumstance with Sulla?

There’s a lore tab called wave length mutation and it talked about how the “old mercenary” is already here and serves as a catalyst, and that now they only need a third party. This is likely allmind and it’s likely that in ng++, Sulla could’ve been contacted by allmind. Ayre is a C wave mutation per allminds words I believe, so that is technically talking about her
Ya see the problem with Robbie Daymond voicing like 1/3 of the male characters in this game is I can't tell which one was supposed to have gotten merged with true final boss... I'm guessing it's Sulla but not sure
No if the fight continues going during the first phase Iguazu will say "you killed me but not just once" then he'll start swapping to other characters voices.@@harrymcgrory2531
It's in the first phase when Iguazu get's below half health but before it gets critical "you've killed me many times" then a few other voices start talking. Problem is this phase has so little HP that it's easy to miss.@@sdbzfan1
@@mitasova9064Pairing the Ransetsu-RF with the Harris Linear Rifle is decent. I do that and pair it with a melee weapon on my back and a SOUP on my other shoulder
@@mitasova9064 I just wish there were more faster firing rate weapons, the Ransetsu isn't too bad, the scudder is nice as well but I agree, maybe a larger ammo count would be nice. I agree that they're probably outclassed though, it's a shame because the meta weapons don't have as nice of a look to them.
Seems they all make fairly similar noises regardless of when, where, or the circumstances they are found and/or destroyed. I doubt they make any real meaning aside from sounding cool.
618 died to sulla presumably in the same fight, just before 619 and 620 fight the cataphract. Sulla is an independent so he was likely fighting for the pca
