I have middle aged, tretinoin induced dehydrated skin - my skin has actually felt less irritated while wearing this skin tint - I love the youthful, dewy finish. That being said, I do apply with a brush and I do wear this on days when I want a no-makeup/natural look. I’m really enjoying it!
Hi Sofia, I tried the Hourglass tint at Sephora last week. An Hourglass rep was at the store and suggested I try it. After application it felt too heavy and shiny and I asked the rep to powder my face due to the shine (I am not a powder lover). I am 76 and have normal skin with an oily T zone. I wore the HG tint all day and it did stay put but I couldn't wait to wash it off. I have the Caliray but it is too drying. Today I'm going to Sephora to purchase the DM yummy skin tint which sounds like something I would like. Even though I am a senior, I work full time in an office and wear makeup everyday but I like a very natural look. Thank you for your very informative videos
Thank you so much for this review. You’re the only RU-vidr that clearly gave all of the pros and cons. I also love your comparisons. Expensive as it is I’ll continue using the Chantecaille Forever Skin. I always get complements when I were it. I don’t need a lot to even out my skin and make me look good.😊
Why haven't I found your channel earlier? You are probably one of the most informative reviewers I've ever seen. Your dedication is clearly noted and you make me feel like I can rely on your reviews❤
Ever since I saw Pat McGrath do powder before foundation I've been applying all my foundations and tints that way and i dont have the same issues anymore of things not drying down and i also get fuller coverage from almost everything. Your skin looks good ❤
My current favorite skin tint is the Summer Fridays. It dries down and is very natural. I don’t prefer a lot of coverage for work or every day. I’m interested in the Yummy. Might check that out next. Thanks for this review!
Absolutely great video! I have been trying to decide between hourglass versus the DM yummy skin tint . Made up my mind and I’m so happy that you let me know your thoughts!
Hey Sofia! Thanks so much for this update, I was super curious about this product. I hope you will be able to create a video on the RMS eye lights, especially the new shades that came out recently. I think the shade Moondust and the purple one would look beautiful on you! Thank you ❤
Thank you very much for this review. I’m having same observations as yours, and I’m shook that no one talks about it. This product despite that it looks beautiful it doesn’t set. It’s super important to share that information! It’s super rich moisturising formula is unable to set. You haven’t mentioned, it’s fine but it’s core is all about moisture in a form of glycerin and meadowfoam seed oil. There are other emollients that follows. Once again super super moisturising tint. Some people will love it how it looks like some will not that it does not set and sits on a skin. I’m happy I was not the only one that had that observation. Greetings. From Paris with love! PSC, xxx
Your review of this has been the most honest and helpful on RU-vid and I’ve watched many after a disappointing purchase 😅I watched other reviews and I’m a bit gutted tbh as so many raved it up. Maybe it’s just preference to dry skin as opposed to combination 🤷🏼♀️.
Thanks for your honest & balanced review as always! Also love that you tested it out for awhile before sharing your thoughts, that’s so helpful. How would you say the chantecaille skin tint (the spf one in a tube) compares to the Danessa Myricks skin tint?
Great question! I really like that one too. That one feels more like a moisturizer with a tint and has less coverage. The DM one feel more like I am wearing makeup for the day
I know this comment is a little late but I just got this and wasn’t sure how I felt about it. You did such a great review, I do feel like it just “sits on the skin” I’ve been using yummy skin for the last year and love it so much. YS melts into the skin. After watching your review I realize it’s not just me. Sadly I’ll be returning it.
I've used the Future Skin in both Alabaster and Vanilla, depending on time of year, and I love it. But I wanted something lighter. So when Chantecaille had their Sylvie sale, I bought their skin tint. Wow! It is just lovely. Light coverage, but can be layered a bit to cover redness. It goes on in a snap with fingers, lasts all day, and is really flattering. I got it in Vanilla. Highly recommend. Thanks for the video!💚
Hi there! I have often thought about purchasing the Chantacaille Skin Tint! I just can't figure out what shade to buy!! I've thought of buying Vanilla. I have light-medium skin with cool, rosy undertones, light hair, blue eyes. In your opinion does it seem like Vanilla would be a possible match?
@@sarahogren3697 As always, only you know that when you try it. But it is a forgiving , although limited, color range. I'm Light, tending to Light/Medium in summer, and I don't get sun. I have a slight olive undertone, which can be tricky. And some redness from a bit of rosacea in my cheeks that flares up at inconvenient times.( I'm a brunette with hazel eyes, but that doesn't really matter with foundation color. ). The Vanilla works very well for me, I can pat a bit on for redness if need be, and it's so skinlike. I'm blown away by their foundations so far. I like the Rose Tint too, for no foundation days. Especially in winter. Hope you love it.
You do the best reviews! I will stick with my future skin gel foundation ( which I bought on your rec) or NARS tinted moisturizer for light coverage days. ❤❤❤❤
I was also surprised to notice this never set, all day!! And it really doesn’t even out my redness on it’s own, which is also a bummer. I’m experimenting with mixing it with other foundations to see if I can find a way I like using it. 🤷🏽♀️
After watching so many video of you wearing Chantecaille future skin gel foundation, I finally gave in and got it. Oh my, I wished I had got it earlier! It’s so good, and has become my holy grail ❤️ Thank you so much, Sophia! However, Chantecaille is so expensive, I can’t use it on daily basis, so I’m looking for a nice cheaper skin tint to use daily. Is the texture of Denessa Myricks similar to Chantecaille? 😊 Thank you
Your comparisons sounds like better than the Hourglass one. But in Belguim is the Hourglass the only one that's easy available to me without crazy extra shipping or costume costs. And it is free of fragrance, ( the DM and Fenty also I've checked the ingredients list). It is possible I eventually if I finnished my Nars tinted moisturizer, I will try the Hourglass...
You looked so beautiful! ❤ Oh man, I was really interested in this tint because they FINALLY have a shade deep enough for me…but, I’m not paying $49 for something to remain tacky. Maybe if I snag it in the Sephora sale😅
Happy Thursday! I've been really loving all your recent videos 💕 Thanks for another great review! I've heard conflicting reviews for this skin tint, and I've never had great luck with HG base products, so this is a pass for me.
Hi Sofia. Thanks for your review. I love this hourglass so much. I've a deshydrated skin. It's my "préféré " to compare to yummy of danessa or the skin tint of keys soulcare. With hourglass my skin is hydrated all the day and it doesn't mooved. I've the impression that I just applied my moisturizer but it's not sticky, for me just hydrated. Je te fais un gros 😚
Pretty dewy…gooey and doesn’t set at all…might mess with my peach fuzz…not very long lasting…meh. But the “can’t snuggle the cat” NEWP! That’s a bridge too far! 😂😂😂 It looks like Hourglass continues to not capture me with their foundations. I’m not sad about it because I’m loving the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Tint. It is also cat and dog snuggle safe. (Have tested on both and can confirm!)
Hi Sophia, thanks for another great review! I guess hourglass is not for me, I have only tried the eye shadow sticks and there just meh, it’s weird that the YSL nu swatches so weird on you! I love that skin tint (but I am in my 40s) and it’s the perfect fall-winter tint for me.
I bought this when it was first released. Frankly, am very torn..... The tackiness drives me to distraction in my hot, humid (New Orleans) weather. A light powdering helps, but would love the product if this big downside didn't exist. However, the finish itself is beautiful. Am wondering if this will be better in my climate during the Fall and Winter - perhaps the heat and humidity is bumping up the tackiness? Who knows. It will not be a repeat buy. Too many other great skin tints out there.
I guess Hourglass is discontinuing their Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint. I wore that for several years, and was thinking of getting it again! It was very nice.
It looks nice, but this doesn't make me want to leave my Nars Radiant Tinted Moisturizer or Mac Face and Body. I think I'm good with those for a sheer coverage and natural finish.
Hi Sofia! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I wish I had waited for your review bc I prob would have skipped this lol. I’ve used this a few times the past 2 weeks and I do like it but agree it’s very expensive for amount of coverage and I prefer the Danessa and Beauty Blender skin tints wayyy more! Glad I tried it and it’s super natural for my early gym sessions when I want no makeup makeup. Agree it has to be powdered and I like wearing it for short periods…when I wore it all day it just didn’t wear well enough for $50 quality lol. 😊🩷
Oh Sofia, I tried the YSL Nu Tint too and.. yep. Mine is long gone. I’ve been wearing the Danessa Myricks one but still haven’t tried the Hourglass I bought! 😂 Now I’m hesitant!! 🫢 Thank you for the review. ❤❤
