Hi Rachel guess Im lucky my bathroom linoleum is white and I have stains from the backing of rugs. I have tried most everything including a shark steamer which lightens it some but wont take it up so Im trying your bleach method and will leave it overnight to see what happens,, they were yellow rugs by the way. thanks for the tips.

I unfortunately discovered that my nephew has an aiming issue in the bathroom. I was only in my apartment for the weeks, at this point and only had a vinegar based window cleaner. After wiping up the spill I thought to clean up the area with the window cleaner. The result was a BRIGHT PINK STAIN!! Last night the thought instinctively came to mind to remove the stain with a small puddle of water then to cover the area with a little pile of baking soda. I left it there for over 24 hours to allow it to work. It had not removed the stain, and I was about to use my 1500 Watt steam cleaner, until I found an article that expressly says that a "steam cleaners will damage a vinyl floor. I have had a jug of white vinegar there for a while and now know to mix it with the baking soda and let that sit overnight before trying to scrub it away with a sponge. I'm going to do it in the morning. 🙏👍👍

Will this work on dried nail polish stains?

Off white linoleum not tile stain is from revlon blonde hair dye splatter. Any ideas?

Well that you work to do a whole linoleum floor that I dropped 2 L of coke on washed it three times and it's still sticky

Can you use Apple Cider Vinegar too? Or does it have to be regular vinegar?

Baking soda and vinegar are fun to mix if you're making a volcano for a second grade school project, but are completely useless for cleaning.

I have surface rust on my cream linoleum counter and baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice, and bleach do not get it out. What are the other options?

every video I watch of this woman is of her using soda and vinegar. The best result for stained LINOLEUM is magic erasers or a chemical you get from the hardware. As for washing your floors vinegar and water does not clean them it wets them and maybe deodorises them. a household disinfectant will not harm your family also a dot of laundry soap in your bucket will help. I use baking soda and vinegar for some stuff but you can not use it as an fix all. If some one does have a problem they want to hear real and helpful ideas. Also not everyone has two weeks to scrub there stained LINOLEUM floors to keep it 100% natural and harm free. I love using oxiaction nappy soak powder and vinegar for a lot of things not organic but scares the pants off most horrible messes that without it would be just too darn hard.

So glad you said tips as opposed to "Hacks" which seems to by the "cool" slogan in the new world and I for one hate the term.
