Proud dog owner here and I also foster dogs 🙋🏾‍♀️ my issue with Bria isn’t that she brought her dog (although I think it was wrong that she didn’t ask permission first) it’s her dismissive behavior whenever anyone brings up an issue with her dog. She wants everyone to be supportive of her “emotional support” animal (which I call bs because my dog is also an emotional support animal. You just pay for a certificate online. Costs about $100 and you get it in an hour 😂. Emotional Support dog is NOT the same as a service dog) but she doesn’t care about her housemates being uncomfortable with her dog? It’s giving hypocrite. Support me and my emotional support dog but on the flip side, I don’t care if my dog is causing you stress 🙃 That’s a “you” problem. No Bria. It’s your dog so you’re responsible for it. I also didn’t like how she went around asking all the other guests if they were annoyed by Milo to invalidate Mariah and Jasmine’s feelings. They have every right to feel comfortable on their vacation just like Bria does. All she had to do when approached about the towels was say “hey, not sure who put those in there. It wasn’t me, but I’ll wash the towels again when I get back.” Problem solved. It’s her dismissal that bothers people. Not Milo (we love him! Haha). But when folks give her energy back, now she’s screaming “assault.” Bria Byeeeeee 🙄 She’s giving responsible dog owners a bad name and ion like it 😂

Hey! I’m watching from the UK. Summer House MV has been great so far, 9 out of 10 from me. I think you’re right about what’s missing from the show, it’s the same for Summer House too. We need someone on the cast who actually has roots in MV or at least actually holidayed there when growing up. I met lots of people like that when I visited and would love to see them on the show

This episode was a 9. It would have been a 10 if it was 90 minutes instead of 60min. I love the cast on this show - they are young but they have a good head on their shoulders and all have some complexities in their characters. I like that their interactions are organic and not produced and predictable like the other Summer House.

I love this show!!! But I completely agree with you that the show is lacking actual legacy and Black history references/class. The reality is these people are outsiders/tourists/sometime vacationers. Mariah already called out Jasmine for only having vacationed 2x before coming again this summer. When Amir says he is proud to be apart of Black history, it makes me cringe, because he is not. He is learning and associating with random Black history facts/legacy that have nothing to do with him as a biracial man. As for Mariah leaving, I was pissed. On the other hand, Mariah became depressed and distant when they rejected her "moon praise" and the moment she mentioned she was a single mother, I knew it was a wrap. She was missing her son, felt rejected, and didn't fit in. The confrontation with Bria was no real reason to get rid of her, Bria needed to go. Nick gives me "old school gay/bisexual vibes" and that "girlfriend" back in New York must be in transition. Nick has slid into the DMs of the girls who he had no chance with. Alex would still talk to Shanice if the cameras weren't around. Amir is a phuckboi and as soon as he open his mouth, I dry up (if you get my drift). As for Silas, he is unattractive and I don't like how Jasmine is being shamed for being a woman with a life before Silas. Silas tried to talk to the Jordans/Shanices of the world and they wouldn't give him the time of day. So now, he puts those insecurities onto Jasmine. Jasmine also is no better. She admitted to being single for 4 years, so when a man showed her some affection, she did what she had to do to secure her ring. But these two are the perfect example of why you should stop, slow down, and have those important conversations of what to and not to expect as you go thru your relationship. I couldn't be with a man who looks like a thumb trying to tell me what is and isn't acceptable behavior as a married woman. Being married doesn't mean your life is over
