Finished watching this a few moments ago as our evening draws in. Fit in nicely with the comfortablly warm cabin you have created - wood is my favourite material as it provides not only wonderful natural colour but it gives out a snug cosiness in these winter nights. After watching this i now am firmly of the opinion that i really know nothing about designing!! I have a good imagination as a storyteller due to my love of writing, but my mind currently seems unable to picture such a fantastic structure like this one you have built. This is all kinds of amazing. You have such a unique patience i notice when it comes to offering a display, whether it be items on shelves, or in cupboards. Again it's this attention to detail that truly amazes me. And dare i say it, is even inspiring. Even to someone of my aging years. I shook my head only once with a mild curiosity and confusion. An open - plan toilet!!! (yes i know you created a sheltering wall but to me it is more open than enclosed.) A clever design, different even. Is this something that is common though i find myself asking? My wife and i joked a little about one of us passing the other and looking over that wall whilst "occupied". I don the imaginary cap to you as a gesture of acknowledging such an abundance of talent. By the end of this week i should have watched all videos that are two months old. Creeping through the backlog. 😁
I laughed reading this for sure. The open toilet, lol. This is not common here in the US, not sure about anywhere else. My parents, however, do have an open toilet like this with a half wall but there is a door to the bathroom itself (unlike this house). I didn't want doors to the bathroom nor did I want to add another room for the toilet, so...half wall, I don't have to live there, lol 🤣 I do love this house and I would live there for sure but I would do something about that toilet. 😊 Thank you again for watching all my videos and the well thought out comments. Do you post items on workshop for House Flipper as well? Also how did you learn how to do all this stuff? I tried building with HF 1 and ended up with a mess lol ust started trying to build in HF2 as well and it seems a bit easier but I find I have issues trying to decide how to make the shape of the house. Do you know ahead of time what you are wanting to build like a blueprint?
I don't post items on the workshop but I use a lot of them. I love the HF1 workshop! Sometimes I use images online for inspiration, sometimes I just start building and see what happens, and sometimes I use floorplans. You can find floorplans online and it is fun to see if you can completely replicate a house off of a floorplan. Replicating images can make you get creative in order to replicate some things. Anyway you decide to build can be really fun!
No, I didn't use any custom content to build it, only some decoration items inside. All the items to build come with either the base game or the DLCs. I think mostly the Farm DLC. Maybe some windows are from other DLCs though, I'm not sure.@@user-et6ku1ws6f
If you purchased the game through Steam you have access to custom content created by the community through what is called the workshop. You can subscribe to items that you can use in game that the community made, like pillows, furniture, decor, even build items like poles and pillars.
I have a renovation I am releasing Monday and another I am working on right now so it will have to be after that but I have been thinking of ideas and playing around with building it.
