My brother went to the military. Came home almost died in motorcycle accident. And while recovering and depressed we got our first pit. My family just about disowned him. Come to find out, We will never ever get any other type of dog. And he's the most important member of our family. Greatest doggos ever. EVER
Since I lost my soul cat Lawrence (Lawlaw) under extremely distressing circumstances 13 months and 7 days ago, I'm too terrified of getting another pet. Rest in peace, Lawlaw and Lawley. 🤍 Wish you were here.
@@SatieSatie I feel your pain. I had to put down my soul dog, Jaeger at the end of last year. It was 3 days after his 16th birthday, September 24th of 2022, was when he put his head in my lap for the last time. God the pain I am still feeling is monstrous. There will never be a dog like him again, he was one of a kind for sure and I would give many things to have just a few more minutes with him. I would give everything, anything and everything, to have him back. But I am proud to say that this past weekend, on Sunday February 5th of 2023, I took Jaeger's energy, his soul, his life, and I gave it purpose by adopting another dog. Doofer will never be Jaeger, he is not and will never be a replacement for him. But Jaeger was a rescue, I saved him from being put down by only a few days. That was why he was such a great dog, I think he understood that I had saved him, saved his life, given him the shirt off of my back and I think he loved that more than anything, to be out of a cage, to be in a warm house with beds to snuggle into and treats galore. I took that energy and I saved someone else. Because Jaeger would've wanted me to. He wouldn't want to hold me back from loving another pet, he'd want me to share my life with someone else, someone who needed me the way that he did. So now I have Doofer. And I do not regret it at all, he is a wonderful dog and I'm sure Jaeger's tail is wagging knowing that I have someone else, someone new, not a replacement but a kindred spirit. And I'm sure I will see them all- Jaeger, my first dog Sirius, and probably Doofer as well- I will have the joy of seeing them all again. Saying 'Goodbye' to a good pet is not forever. Instead, you should say "I'll see you later."
My first foster I failed! I haven't done it again yet cause I'm not over losing him, but I know I will soon and I'm sure I'll "fail" again and keep him or her! 🤭😁
YES, YES AND HECK YES!🐕👍 I'm 59, always had rescue dogs, always will. They fully understand what unconditional love is.💕🌼 Happy Thanksgiving to you too.🦃
We’ve always had dogs in our lives. Different breeds and mixes. But my pit bull mix is the SWEETEST, MOST LOVING rescue we’ve ever had! Friendly to every single person and dog she runs into. We love her so much!
I don't know why people insist on having these dogs. People like you yes yes sweetest things. Until something goes wrong when it goes very very wrong. And some kid has 38 stitches in his face.
@@1joshjosh1 living life full of fear and what ifs leads to a very sad and unfulfilled life. Don't go outside because you may get mugged... SMH... ridiculous.
@@1joshjosh1 **YES, THAT IS CORRECT, BUT, THAT COULD BE "ANY" DOG, MY FRIEND!! NOT "ALL" PITTIES ARE MEAN + BADASS, JUST LIKE WITH PEOPLE, NOT ALL ARE MEAN + CRUEL!!
@@margaretszuky7065 So you're suggesting a Miniature Schnauzer can cause a kid to have 38 stitches in the face. Just stop. Yes all dogs can bite if treated wrong, but when the Pitbull does it goes very very very wrong. Don't pretend like that's not true please don't. I'm begging you not to pretend.
It always baffles me when people say “xyz is the best dog I ever had”. Like… how can you choose a favourite? It’s literally like choosing a favourite child. How can you even start thinking this way and then think it’s a good idea to share your skewed and shameful way of thinking with other people on the internet?
Zeusy is adorable! My best friend has a pittie mix and she said he absolutely wouldn't ever get in the water. We took them camping with us and one of our foster fails LOVES the water. So if course she jumps in and is swimming and running around like crazy so of course Tank had to make a liar out of his mom and jumped right in behind our girl. So you never know.
Thank you for loving the little fat heads .We lived in Antigua for 16 years. Tammy came into our lives. She was a Staffordshire bull .Sadly she was in a horrible state. I have to be honest I wasn't sure how Tammy would settle. Wonderful, intelligent, funny ,the list goes on .We miss her so much 😢. Again thanks. Fr
I'm so sorry to hear that Lawley passed. That's heartbreaking to me and seeing how much you care and love all these pitties. I'm glad you saved them and now they're living a happy life. Rest in Love and Peace Sweet Lawley, you'll one day see your humans again. That reunion will be a beautiful one. Peace 🕊️ and Blessings to all.
Looks like Lawley lived their best life and was loved whole heartedly! R.I.P Angel! I know you're still watching over your family 💛💜💛💜 I have always been unsure about pitties until watching this channel! Now I want like 20!!
Thank you all so so so so so much. I owned a pit once and was in love. I have a golden doodle now, but I always think about my pit. Thank you for opening ur doors the way you did, and thank you for getting to know someone and having a change of heart. That’s so awesome .
It’s so hard for me because a pit bull chased me and almost bit me when I was younger, I barley got into my door on time. I never hated them but it took awhile for me to not be frozen in fear around them (stupid psychological trauma ). It took a very special dog of my friends for me to just see how absolutely beautiful, loving, and precious they are. They are still beasts who can do a lot of damage, just like kids who aren’t raised with love and guidance lol. I’m so thankful for places like this, I wish we had more like them. ❤️
This family is doing justice to the pitbulls! From what I know they really are the most loving and the sweetest dogs. When they do misbehave it's always the fault of the owner. This family rocks ❤️❤️❤️
I'm so sorry to here about Lawley....he's swimming up there with his "peeps". Pitties get a bad rap, but they are really wonderful, silly, loyal dogs. Thank you for giving them a loving life.❤️
@@emilydavison2053 Any dog is capable of hurting or killing a human. You need to look at the owner and the breeding. I've been attacked by one of my rescues, didn't know if I would survive. Had to put him down, no choice. Broke my heart...not his fault, caused by those who bred him and then dumped him on the streets.
Pit bulls years ago were children's nurse companions. They were seen as loving, loyal and completely trusted with the safety of youngsters. Never met a pittie-boo I didn't love - brindles are my faves.
Thankyou for sharing this, Im so glad you found out how wonderful the bully breeds are. I was in rescue/adoption for mostly bully/pit breeds for 25+yrs, some came from most horrific circumstances, but even though scared, they saw & felt love & gave right back. Adopted out 100s of these furrbaby angels & received many, many letters, pictures, videos from families of how grateful they were, how these babies became service dogs, nannies, best friends, etc. Still hear from some years later they rescued their 2nd or 3rd pitty! In all those years I was never bitten by any pitty, was bitten by many other breeds but NEVER the bully furrbabies. Just unconditionally loving souls. Bless your family & furrfamily, so much to be thankful for this season!!🤗❤🙏🐾
I felt for you. I can't have dogs in my current situation, which is awful because I have owned dogs all my life (I'm 64). God Bless you all for learnig that the pitties are simply amazing dogs. And God Bless Lawley. It saddened me at the end of the video to realize you lost that beautiful life. Thank you for sharing your wonderful pack.
Such beautiful dogs. I had a pittie growing up, and the only thing she wanted to was to be loved, she never hurt any human. Has anyone else have or had pitbulls?
I have one my neighbors left in my backyard with her “Brother” who was a chug. “Sister”, the pit was extremely protective of Brother until he had a tragic accident. Sis LOVES people and thinks they’re her lollipops. If she can’t find a human to kiss she will lick and lick Frankie her older brother. He adores her. Everyone asks if she part Dalmatian because she’s white with black spots. She even won over my brother who had always been afraid of pits. She sits next to him with her head on his shoulder and sneaks in kisses.
None of these people had real pit bulls and the dogs in this video are not pit bulls either. I have owned real pit bulls. The American Pit Bull Terrier
It saddens me the reputation they have. People are so ignorant and refuse to believe that its in fact the OWNER who makes the dog aggressive and untrained. These beautiful dogs aren't born evil and vicious. It's so sad that they're now illegal in the UK and so unfair!
@@King6d9 How are my comments BS ? What dogs were called Pit Bulls before the American Pit Bull Terrier was created ? None . Pit Bulls didn’t exist until the Irish Staff and English Staff were imported to America . That’s what created the Pit Bull. Chauncey Bennett register them as American Pit Bull Terrier in 1898
“Foster Owners “ Ha ha Go Dad I love this term. They are a wonderful & amazing family! These Pitties have landed in heaven here and totally deserve it. Smiled the entire way through this.🥰
This video absolutely melted my heart. Long story short I was terrified of pithulls until I owned one (long story), I'm now on my Second rescue pittie and they are amazing, they will change your mind if you give them a chance
I work at a doggie daycare and boarding place so I've met tons of dogs and just about every breed. Pitt Bulls are the most balanced and wonderful dogs with the most loving personalities, even when surrounded by dozens of other dogs barking and playing around them, they just chill... I've also learned that if you scratch a pitties armpits, you've made a friend for life.
I've met a few Pit Bulls and never met a mean one. After my Chihuahua passed in 2018 my neighbor took me to a shelter. I needed a comfort dog for a while and chose a white Pit Bull. He gave me that look like you need me not the others. I was instantly drawn to him. They called him Poptart who later was adopted by someone else. He knew exactly how to comfort me. He even gave me gimme fives like my dog used to. He seemed to know I couldn't adopt and I just needed to be with a dog. When I was good and relaxed and I gave him treats since he was so gentle, he went to the door as if to say I'm ready to go back to my cage. You're gonna be fine. I'll always be grateful to Poptart for helping me through a tough time and knowing exactly how to start my healing. Whomever adopted Poptart got a dog so loving and empathetic.
Pitbulls are definitely the best dogs you can own. Extremely intelligent, loving, loyal, and a natural guardian. Have owned 4 of these wonderful animals, waiting to pick up our new pup.
I’ve had pit bulls my entire life and have one presently which my wife and I love so much. I’ve noticed more and more people becoming pitbull owners in my neighborhood which is awesome. The bad stigma with the breed seems to be going away. Happy Thanksgiving!
I live on a fairly affluent island where the local rescue brings in a lot of Pitbulls from crowded underfunded shelters. As a result, many people are adopting pitbull mixes and varieties. You see them all over the island now living fancy lives. I volunteer at the shelter and I manhandle these dogs to give them baths and I’m a stranger and they are nothing but big teddy bears in my hands. Hopefully the stigma really is turning around!
I love love this story ❤ Foster Owners lol I could not agree more that Pitties are the most loving fur babies. The four of them jumping in the pool with goggles is the best! Thank you beautiful human family
I honestly go through the same thing with my mama about pitties aren't that bad but she's been brain washed by the news being a foster fail isn't anything like that it's a new addition to the family 😍 So she takes everything that the news says and runs with it 💯 Anyways God bless everyone who comes across this comment 🙏

In Texas, inner breeding of pitties to get fighting dogs, is a common problem. Unfortunately this creates dogs with issues. I've had two that killed other animals and one turned on me. I DO NOT BLAME them, I blame the freaking humans wanting fighting dogs. Pitties are the most loyal, loving breed out there. I too am a foster failure. I have 3 mixed pitties. ♥️🐾
Thank God the many children mauled to death by pitbulls are in heaven now. Thank God there are no pitbulls in heaven. God says there is no more pain nor sorrow in heaven.
@@Nancy-fm1ie The bible doesn´t say that there are no pitbulls in heaven, only no violence. And violence follows of bad pitbull-owners. She only says in Jesaja 66, that lions and snakes will be there but they will be no langer a danger for young children. - Why shouldn´t it be the same with the pitbulls? So I believe that there will be a lot of loving and caring, playing and smiling pitbulls in heaven when Jesus takes His people in heaven. But no person will train them to fight anymore. Perhaps Jesus will say to the race: Well done, you have showed the people, how loving and forgiving I am be, no matter what you have suffered from bad humans.
Staffies, pitbulls , English bull terriers and mixes of these breeds are heaven to have around !! I owned three staffies....two mixes and one staffy all at the same time. It's so true what this lovely family says about them ❤ RIP my beautiful guys....Doris, Peter and Missi.....see you soon...❤❤❤
As the campaign says "deeds not breeds", base a judgement on the deeds of a dog, not on the breed. Invariably, they do nothing wrong, just irresponsible owners who need training. These lovely doggos obviously have a great family, kudos to mum & dad for giving them a chance and changing their preconceptions 💛

Pitties are nicknamed Nanny dogs…many don’t know that. When they love, they love with all their hearts. Bad humans give them a bad name but these sweet pups are proving them wrong! 🐾🐾 If you raise them with love & kindness, they reward you 10 fold💙💙💙
OMG, these pitties are just too cute. Thank you for saying all the great things about them. Next to Labs, pitties are my favorite breed. Happy Thanksgiving.
Unconditional love is a powerful thing. Doesn't take long to turn their lives around and show that love right back. I love this. There are no bad dogs, only bad people that let them down. My pooches have one job..to exist, and they are pros at it.
Oh, no. Deepest condolences on the loss of Lawley. Know how you must be feeling. But you have 3 wonderful pups to care for you, as well as you for them. It must be a joy on waking every morning to such adorable chaos!
Rescue dogs are specially trained to search for missing people in disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons, and landslides, using their excellent sense of smell. Their mission is to save lives, and search activities require extremely careful judgment. For this reason, disaster rescue dogs must be trained as if they were in a real disaster, such as searching for people trapped under a collapsed or destroyed building or in a landslide.🐕🐕🐕🐶🐶🐶👍👍👍
I saw a video once on a really bad landslide, I forget where, but dozens of people died and the rescue dogs were getting depressed so the volunteers started hiding in the rubble so the rescue dogs could find alive people sometimes. I was like well dang who's chopping onions😭
These aren' t the same kind of rescue dogs. These rescue dogs were in a shelter because people gave them away. Rescue dogs seldom have bite records given new owners by shelters.
Another beautiful story on Dodo. We have a 2 year-old rescue pittie. He is gentle and lovely, very very friendly to kids. He is also very smart, he can understand every thing we told him after 2 weeks with us. Why? because our mother tongue isn't English, but he is from a English background. We're just joking to our friends our pittie is bilingual as well.
