It’s so dead on that the people on House Hunters always seem to immediately eliminate the one house that checks all their boxes to end up choosing the ridiculous one that’s way over budget.

It’s because to be on House Hunters you have to already be in escrow on a house. They find two other houses that are similar then you “choose” the house you were already buying. Source: went through process to be on the show then backed out because they wanted a young male actor realtor to play as if he was our real one because ours was an older woman. That was so rude we said no way. They only pay $500 to the couple and the realtor gets nothing btw.
