That pain on Hugh’s face is real. He knows that pain, just a different sort to the character he plays. I know House’s physical pain and I’ve looked in the mirror and seen those eyes staring back, filled with pain and fear and despair and tears....it’s harrowing. I hate seeing it in my eyes. I feel guilty that I can’t take that pain away, even though it’s me. Hugh does it so well. No other actor portrays pain so well, so keenly, so accurately. Of course House has feelings. He shows his softer side all the time if you look for it. Which makes his misery and pain even more sad, because no one - except perhaps Wilson - has ever understood what that intense pain long-term does to a person. House craves love, acceptance, normality and real relationships, but no one can meet him as an equal, and that forces him to be alone. He fights people, pushes them away, acts like a dick, just because it’s easier than the constant disappointment of either trying to be someone you can’t be long term, or being rejected because you let your true self show. Many pain patients can relate to that. Bad chronic pain is a terrible life sentence and uniquely destructive, and we all develop ways to cope, and people very rarely understand that those ways might not make sense to a ‘normal’ person. Give us a break - we have to try to stay sane, and it’s very, very hard to do that when your body makes you want to scream out loud from the moment you wake to the moment you pass out. Puzzles, sarcasm, humour, argument, music, study, deep thought...these are all things that allow us to escape for a bit from the psychological side of that daily fight. When we fight with our body so hard, we sometimes fight with the people in our lives. Sometimes the edges blur and it’s hard to separate the two. Finding people who get that it’s not a personal thing is so hard. Apologies become commonplace and I can totally see how in the end you would just stop apologising. After all, it’s not your fault. No one would ever *EVER* choose a life of chronic pain. Engaging your brain in something interesting is the best pain medicine there is. Whether it’s love or verbal sparring or playing an instrument, escapism is relief from the worst of the pain. And in such pain as this, you take every escape you can. Good writing in this show to want to show that pain in all its forms. But exquisite acting from Hugh. The man has such talent. Love him.

I want HOUSE back on TV ... but you can't always get what you want.

Many of my friends gave up after seasons 5 and 6... and I still don't get why! This is one of the best TV shows ever, and I don't care about it slowing down in the latter seasons... No matter what, I think House is the most fascinating and deeply explored character ever made for TV. Thank you for the upload, great video!!

Chronic pain and pain management is a bitch. I know what that is like. Although this show is way over the top: ie. fiction... it still really hits home for me... growing up with health issues and all...

Brilliantly made video about an outstanding show starring an impeccably gorgeous and talented Hugh. Thank you for editing wisely, for not letting the music drown out the mastery of House, for making us want to watch him all over again. The good, the bad and the downright ugly of it all. No man on screen smoulders like House, or makes us feel pain like his. I feel that pain every day and no one understands the crushing reality of it. But the creators of House understand pain. Hugh catches at my heartstrings every time because yes, terrible pain does make you bitter and snarky and slightly mad when it’s gnawing at your personality every hour of every day. And no one who doesn’t”t know that pain understands how cruel accusations like addiction or dependency are when you are just wanting slightly less of a real, hideous, physical pain. His line says it best: “I don’t have an addiction problem, I have a pain problem.” Wonderful every time. Thank you, Hugh - you’re a genius and we love you all over again... I miss House!

Alot of us can relate to House, we might not be as genious as he is but we feel his pain. Which is why this show and his character is brilliant. Some of us may have been drug abusers like House, some have not. But we have all felt the pain of being completely alone with our pain, physical or mental. I view House's leg pain as a metaphor for mental pain

4 Year later and i miss beautifully written characters like house. Great tribute.

What we all know and equaly miss is the first among the gratest, G. House. But the very, very special, and huge respect and award goes to his initial crew, Epps, Leonard, Spencer and incredible Morrison.Without that most brilliant casting of supporters in entire history of sitcom I simply don't know. But I know that to me, House is actually unimaginable without them.
