This was a Solid match and man the setting of these house rules are amazing these house rules matches are one of the rare times where having the lights dark on the crowd and only in the ring works and also that ending made house of black look like monsters.

I think about the only issue I have with it is that the 20 count and "DQs are Enforced" don't really matter, since none of the refs ever seem to count for count outs half the time, and calling out "DQs are enforced" just makes further mockery of how wrestlers love to make fools of refs in AEW. The No Ropebreaks and "Dealers Choice" are the only two rules that ever really come into play. Maybe they'll do more the emphasize the other rules eventually, but as it stands it's a lot for an audience to digest. I'm just glad they are finally getting a chance to take the ball and run with it.

@@knightshousegames To be fair to AEW, I think the rules simular to NJPW. Red Shoes sometimes should call for DQ, but sometimes still allow for the match to continue.

@@kennythetrend3688 Is "sometimes" at least once a night? If it happened like once every few years, sure. But when it happens constantly and the ref has to just stand there like an idiot and be like "no no you can't do that" and does nothing to prevent it, it just erodes the rules and makes the whole presentation look dumb.

Still getting the lighting right, but still a good match I enjoyed the "1 man in, 1 man out" rule for this, since it felt like they were catering to their opponent's style, while also proving they could adapt to it and showing just how good they really are.

Yeah I wouldn't count on it. This house rules thing is basically an open challenge. And you know if TK slaps the open challenge gimmick on you that means he has no intention of ever giving you a real story. I mean the acclaimed are the number one contenders and you would never know it because they have not told that story at all.
