Trey Mills just put himself in the hunt for the points-championship with his 1st ever super late model win. He’s now 28 points back from the point leader, Will Herrington. After 5 races, Putnam is now tied with Joiner for 2nd place in the points standings, with Mills in 4th and Freeman in 5th. It appears to be a 5 horse race with Mills, Herrington, Joiner, Putnam and Freeman in the top 5 with 14 races left in the Hunt The Front Super Dirt Series. Freeman sits 58 points back in 5th place. He has 2 top five finishes, but will need a win or 2 in order to keep pace with the top 4 drivers. Freeman has had a rough start for this series. He finished 12th at All Tech, DNF and scored 12th at Magnolia, and finished 18th at Cochran. He finished 2nd on Friday at WhyNot and will need another strong finish to keep pace. Points Standings as of 6/23/23 Herrington - 646 J. Putnam - 624 J. Joiner - 624 T. Mills - 618 Freeman - 588

This comes as no surprise. I felt early on that Trey could well get that first win and now he's done it and I'm not convinced he's done yet. Don't sleep on him. Good to see Freeman makes some noise too. Lot of good, young hot shoes in this series.

I'm a HTF fan have been for years,I'm also a super late model driver, HTF needs a complete overhaul, Joseph is a great driver and should be up front all the time or at least top 3 I think it's time to get a different power plant and shock package, Switching to longhorn was a good start, But now they need more engine and better suspension, There's no reason why he should be way in the back, Unless Shaw and Mills are running the nos fire bottle

Wonder what excuse HTF will give this weekend...At least he didn't park it this time! Guy just can't race, he's only good when he us either out front or on an empty track!

Heck of a race. I now realize it was 40 laps because it was night 1 of a doubleheader with a 5k payout. Also to the commentor who said these are the cars that get lapped by the pros… obviously you don’t watch a lot of racing. If you are going to troll and hate why not just keep scrolling and watch a how to video on how to do your make up?
