On March 24, 2019, The House of Iran presented its annual music, dance and cultural arts program, here in San Diego's House of Pacific Relations, at Balboa Park. One thing is for sure, the Iranian culture really knows how to party. In an area that normally holds a few hundred people for a lawn program, many thousands of spectators attended the 2019 House of Iran giant new years party.
The celebration is called, "Nowruz." You may know it by several English language spelling variants, among them, "Nauruz" and "Norooz" Nowruz translates as "New Day." The ancient Persian New Year starts at the Vernal Equinox, or "New Day", or Nowruz. For those of you who endeavor to be exact, you should consider converting to the ancient Persian calendar, which is only off by one day, every 141,000 years. Our current Gregorian calendar is off by one day every 3,226 years.
No one can accuse the Persians of not being exact, just as no one can accuse the Persians of not being the greatest party-goers in the world. Just watch this video, and you'll see what I mean.
A big thank you to Shally Zomorodi, Anchor Person for Fox 5 News in San Diego. She was the fantastic M.C. for this presentation, just as she is almost every year. A big thank you also to Abe Far, President of The House of Iran. And thank you, Abe, to your staff, for a wonderful program again this year.
And the Persian food is really delicious. I look forward to eating it every year.
Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy watching this program as much as I enjoyed filming it.
Louis.

All people there at the House of Iran have beautiful souls, as beautiful as the music and dancing. Again, thank you for watching. Louis Cutino, Chief Financial Officer, Long Live Humanity 501(c)3.

Hi, Shirin. Thank you for watching our videos. I agree that the Iranian dancing is really very beautiful. I'm really happy that you enjoyed the program. The House of Iran presents a Norooz Celebration program every year, around the Norooz holiday time, and also a Harvest Festival every year in November. All ethnic celebrations are free at The House of Pacific Relations, parent organization of the 34 member ethnic houses. If you have the opportunity, please come and celebrate with us in person. The photography is very unprofessional . There were so many people standing on the other side and respectful to the beautiful anthems of Iran and United States , but the photographer is not Filming them. Also the show was unorganized , that's why people don't pay attention,

Thank you, Venus. I really appreciate your watching our videos. I love the House of Iran programs: great music, singing and dancing. They are also a bunch of really nice people, so friendly. If you can come see one of our free ethnic concerts in person, I'll buy you a cup of tea at the House of Iran-absolutely delicious. Louis Cutino, Chief Financial Officer, Long Live Humanity, 501(c)3.

@@venusmir5227 Hi, Venus. As I'm just a private citizen and I don't work for the government, I'm not able to help anyone immigrate to the United States. I hope you do get the opportunity to come here. I think you would enjoy our multicultural music celebrations that we have almost every Sunday, for free, here in San Diego's Balboa Park. We currently have 34 cultures represented that produce these lawn programs, almost every Sunday. I hope to meet you some day. Louis.

@@venusmir5227 Please do come visit San Diego if possible. I will buy you a cup of tea at the House of Iran. The man who led the national anthems is called Arya. He makes a special blend of five different kinds of tea, all imported from Iran. When he makes the tea for the House of Iran, it's the best tea in the world. Feel free to E-mail me at my company E-mail address: louis.cutino@longlivehumanity.org. And also, while most of the ethnic houses present only one program per year, the House of Iran always presents a second lawn program, a Harvest Festival every year in September. You can see those Harvest Festival videos on our RU-vid channel as well. I hope to meet you in person some day. Louis.

Bita Korramy I guess you don’t live outside of Iran because Iranians especially in America... the new generations hardly speak any farsi, we just have our holidays, culture and religion to hold on to!
@louiscutino
@louiscutino 5 лет назад
@@Baharigak Hi, Baharigak. I think you are right that the new generations only have holidays, culture and religion to hold on to. My case is an example of your being right. My family came from Sicily, Italy. I speak almost no Italian any more, even though Italian is the first language that I remember being spoken, and at that time, I understood what my family was saying. But now, almost 70 years later, my Italian is almost completely gone (yes, as you have now figured out, I am quite old.) I also don't have the same religion as my family either. That's gone too. My grandmother was once, very critical of me, in terms of my loss of the Italian culture. I responded that I'm not Italian, I'm American. I told her, "If you wanted me to be Italian instead of American, you should have remained in Italy." But I still have some of the culture to hold on to. That's why Long Live Humanity films these beautiful ethnic presentations, like the House of Iran Norooz program. At least future generations can watch the beautiful singing and dancing of the beautiful culture of Iran, perhaps for hundreds of years, at least, for as long as RU-vid still shows this video. That's why Long Live Humanity also films musical cultural programs from 33 other cultures, as well. Thank you for watching our videos. Long Live Humanity Hi Louis, Thank you for your beautiful response and thank you for the work you do! I’m from the NYC area and the Italian presence and culture here is very rich & historical! And yes that is what makes America beautiful, we come and can pick /chose what we want to retain and let of other traditions.. nothing is forced upon on... but assimilation is inevitable lol

Hi, Ariana. If you are referring to flags of other nations, the flags are there because there are 34 nations represented in The House of Pacific Relations. Other nations' flags are almost always visible in most videos. If you are referring to the flag of Iran, you could ask the House of Iran at their website or Facebook page, and I'm sure they can answer all of your questions. Thanks for watching the video.
