I LOVE Betsey Johnson. Got an opportunity to meet her and her daughter in NYC. She is the sweetest, happiest person. Both her and Lulu are beautiful inside and out. She's such an inspiration and hero. Hope she's around more many years.

SAME! 💯 I’m now 47 1/2, and I just wear whatever the hell I want. I can’t be bothered to “dress for my age,” as I have no idea what that’s “supposed” to mean. I look @ most women, and they appear as if they gave up on life & themselves A LONG TIME AGO, but I always knew that I wanted to be vibrant & to always live my best life for the entire span of my existence. I feel great knowing that I’ve had to overcome SO much to be the person I am today, and I hope that people see & feel the joy & passion that I exude-I know that those who WANT to see it, do. We’re all like Rorschach ink blots, where people interpret life through the filter of their own experiences.

I was so lucky to meet Bessie Johnson in Malibu. I ran up to her total fan girl and told her how many dresses I had of hers. I scared her at first, but then she hugged me and took pictures with me and she’s so freaking cool.
Total Icon!!! All my best "lucky dresses" were from Betsey growing up. Had amazing times in them. I loved everything about her and all her illustrated tags. She was unlike anybody else. Viva Betsy! ;))
I remember when she was talking trash about plus size cloths and how they "didn't look right" so she didn't offer them and now I see she has her cloths at torrid, glad she came around and stopped passing judgment on non stick thin ppl.👍
I want to try her stuff because bright colors and skirts is basically how I dress...but I don't know if she has plus sized stuff or if it would be flattering on me. Everyone in this video was tiny and skinny.
