18:27 the old grand maester (mellos) that was whispering with otto died a while ago, and was replaced. shortly after the new grand maester orwyle began treating viserys, his condition stopped worsening as rapidly! the guy treating rhaenyra & her kids is her own maester, notably the only one she trusts, as they all study their practices at least partially in old town, the seat of the hightowers. also, vhagar is female! this episode & react was great :)
Fun fact! At the Small Council they were discussing Lord Grover Tully of Riverrun. It's fun and interesting to note the names of Lord Grover's grandson, Elmo Tully, and Elmo's sons, Oscar and Kermit. They are Lord George R.R. Martin's nod to Sesame Street and the Muppets.
Preciate it Nkxseal im glad ya found me, welcome to the island my guy!! Its been good from the beginning for me, but the show is getting GOOD GOOD I feel messed up counting down the seconds but yes i cnt wait for the kings death either lol!
The “where is duty, where is sacrifice” scene…Olivia Cooke doing some Dinklage level lifting there. The agony, the passion! That’s a Emmy nomination scene. “We Know Father. Everyone Knows”. That’s Aegon’s “the Prince will remember that little Lord” moment. Aemond taming Vhagar & holding his own in a 1v4 makes him the real chad in my eyes. Only wholesome moment, our Prince resting his head on his mom’s shoulder to let her know she can depend on him. Last but not least, GOATTO Hightower says “in time you and I together will prevail” and I’m the meme of Homer Simpson decked out in a green tee, sitting on green cushions, wearing a Hightower snapback, holding a Go Greens flag with a Alicent poster on the wall😂. Meanwhile checking in on Blacks: “What is honor compared to a woman’s uncle” - Maester Aemon 😳
I've read that they changed the ages of Daemon and Viserys from the books, where they were only a few years apart... here in the show, it was mentioned that they are now 9 years apart - Daemon was meant to be 31 at the beginning of the show which would have made Viserys around 40.
I did like the after funeral scene, so quiet and tense, much like an actual funeral when there's family drama. Daemon and Viserys are supposed to be 4 yrs apart but I don't know lol Daemon's burn is from the beginning of the stepstones battle when he's hit with the flaming arrow before he and caraxes retreats Your reactions during the kids fighting is awesome! 😆 But the whispering when viserys is questioning them is priceless 🤣🤣 So happy to see you off team Alicent 🙌🏾 Maester Mellos didn't make it between ep 5 & 6 but they're at Driftmark still so that would be a Velaryon Maester... the one in Kings Landing is black, Maester Orwyle Daemon snapped his neck in the hall of 9 Larys is Lord of harrenhal because he killed his father and older brother. Eve Best (Rhaenys) was in Nurse Jackie, that's the only thing I can remember her in Aegon is an asshole but has not gotten into a devious plotting Character, he's jus trying to drink and flirt with girls Aemond on the other hand is plotting... not a fan of either but especially Aemond. I think no rat because we're not at kinds landing and larys was present to observe for himself always lurking I think laenor was in the planning from the conversation they had before she brought the idea to Daemon. As he's saying he is going to recommit himself Rhaenyra makes some facial expressions knowing he needs to be free... rewatch that scene when she is getting stitches. GOT was definitely more character development focused and HOTD is moving quickly to get to a certain part of the story... which is fun but does take away from character attachments and the investment of it all... Fun fact season 2 isn't likely until summer/fall 2024 as filing starts spring 2023
Absolutely agree, best episode yet. I am so happy she didn't actually have her husband killed off. I was very close to not feeling a connection to either side. Firmly will Raynerys and Damon now.
Larys automatically became Lord of Harronhall because he killed his father and brother. Don’t know what his end goal is. I think we are not paying attention to Allicent’s daughter. Last episode she said that Aemond would have to lose an eye to gain a dragon. I’m getting Bran vibes from her.
Who calls Rhaenyra's children bastards and Alicent, Aemond looks at her but won't say it was his mother because he likes his mother, Aemond doesn't like his brother Aegon so he says it was Aegon who keeps calling Rhaenyra's children of bastards but it's actually Alicent who focuses on saying that Rhaenyra's children are bastards, Alicent is very lucky she should be dead as she attacked the heir to the throne more like viserys and a weakling so nothing happened to Alicent This episode was wonderful, the only problem is that the beach scene is very dark, they didn't learn from Game of Thrones, Daemon laughed because corlys' brother was badmouthing Rhaenyra's children look at Rhaenyra's reaction how uncomfortable she is in the scene Daemon and Rhaenyra's wedding scene was so beautiful During the wedding ceremony, Daemon and Rhaenyra would draw two Valyrian glyphs on each other's foreheads, meaning "Fire" and "Blood" - the words of House Targaryen 🔥 Viserys said in episode 4 that they are both dragons and restless,Rhaenyra I've always loved Daemon as Daemon I've always loved Rhaenyra that's it and spoken of in the book and also and only in the first episode do we realize the connection between the two, as actors Emma and Matt said that Daemon and Rhaenyra were meant to burn together is that they love each other Yes they are marrying for love they both love each other they always have 7:24 you notice in the scene viserys ends up calling alicent Aemma who is viserys's first wife that reason why there was a mood at the time is why viserys got Alicent's name wrong 😂 The tradition of the Velaryon family when they die their tradition is to throw the body in the water as we saw Laena Velaryon's funeral ,As for the Targaryens, their tradition is to burn the body as we saw in the first episode in the death of Rhaenyra's mother and Rhaenyra's brother,I feel sorry for Laena because she lost two Dragons she was riding 🤭 I'm sorry but I had to make this comment 😅
So the time jumps are really only supposed to be in Season 1. For the rest of the series (or at least in this particular story), they're not going to be a thing.
