Baela and Rhaena are of Velaryon blood but their last name is Targaryen. That's why Corlys preferred his grandsons because they had his name even if they didn't have his blood. That's why Rhaenyra's offer to Rhaenys was smart. Everyone wins. The name and the blood pass on.
Well from what I’ve seen from their reaction videos, they’re not in emotional or empowering moments but more into chaos and fun moments so it’s evident why they cut it out.
Since the first episode I just wish that Valerians should’ve just taken over the realm at this point. They gave too much for Hightowers to make their own influence.
"This is why you don't name everyone Aegon." My words exactly! All those prophecies don't matter within your everyday life if you don't know which Aegon is mentioned, lol. Also why would you listen to the nonsense coming out of barely there King whom you have to remind 15 times within one conversation who you are and what you're talking about?
I dont think Alicent believes Aegon can unite everyone. I think whats going on in her head is "I don't care about his prophecy or whatever but he said Aegon so he must be talking about our son"
@@derkek7084 They were lied to about who their father was, that led to taunting, bullying and a deep hatred of Alicents children, remember one of Strongs kids was in on the Pig joke. I agree that Alicents children are cruel and mean but Rhaenyrs kids are angry and easily provoked.
Ikr. Although I feel Alicent poisoned her kids’ minds more directly but in Rhaenyra’s case she literally got herself f*cked by having bastard kids. They grew up being labelled as strong kids, because they can’t just lash at their own mother so they take it out on Alicent’s kids. They’re too easily provoked as shown in this episode.
Luke laughed with his future wife at Aemond because there was a pig on the table in front of him. Oh dear, someone has not wised up. Aemond is incredible.
Let’s be honest, Viserys could have avoided everything if he named Daemon heir. Legitimately. Aemond I think was def in the right with the dragon situation, dude really goes after what he wants, and as a kid he was the one who was respectful and more kind (then the bullying and bs got to him and he chose to look after himself) him mentioning the mom was him stating a fact that she is gone. Later rubbing it in wasn’t smart but he was a kid.
That dinner scene is a masterclass of melancholy in simplicity. Viserys watching the kids in a last dance before the Dance. Fleeting moments of bliss. Everyone hoping for the best, expecting the worst. For something so uneventfully peaceful, the passing was one of the most foreboding & viscerally filmed deaths I've seen. Book Viserys also doses off to the great beyond in his bed, after telling stories to grandkids. The king who was most unlike Aegon the Conqueror in life ends up being most like the Conqueror in death. Ok enough jokes. Now the serious stuff. "You're no son of mine" - Alicent getting crossbowed in the loo on mother's day confirmed lol. Ep 9 is The Green Council😱!! Cue the Hoes Mad beat😤!! Our religion, tradition & patriarchy upholder Queen Mother & our redpiled Homelander King will make Westeros great again🙃/s
Aemond is a definite beast, building himself up like a second son should. Daemon and him are incredibly similar and daemon sees it- but Aemond I think genuinely is psycho because he isn’t afraid of anything anymore, he’s a great targaryen and why I would like him to survive and thrive. The blacks unfortunately sabotage themselves in their actions even tho I am for their side.
If I were Viserys, I'd make one final change to the succession of the crown and make it based on trial by combat. Viserys Targaryen and Aemond Targaryen would be my candidates for the throne, and I'd have them fight for it. The guy who wins gets the crown.
He has kind of avoidance mentality. I am not sure if he is a good king. He should have appointed Rhaenyra as the hand after Strong the hand died. Instead, Rhaenyra and Daemon lived away from the court.
The reason Otto returned as a hand because Alicent asked Viserys. And he married Alicent because of pressure that the realm was vulnerable for having one heir. King Jahaerys' children outlived him.
I find it funny that you're other one who said that you were being too harsh on Viserys but then you literally back track to being harsh towards him again make up your mind dude. Lmfao 😂
Vaemond didn’t deserve to go out like that but by speaking it again he makes sure no one forgets the truth about Rhaenyra’s sons adding fuel to the fire before going out
I don't get people justifying's Aegon's stealing of the dragon. The family members should have the right to be the first to try to win the dragon's companionship or loyalty (whatever the relationship is). The family was still in mourning. Swords and other values are passed down to heirs, certainly dragons would be also. This was totally an egregious act.
Doesn't matter how you think it "should" be. Because its not like that. He didn't steal anything because they didn't own the dragon. If you understand the lore, you'd know dragons are not passed down the same way as property. A dragon doesn't follow the laws of succession or even customary "unwritten rules". In fact Laena did a similar thing to even earn Vhagar in the first place. Regardless of the family mourning, Aemond earned that dragon fair and square by the rules of their universe. So if you don't get people justifying it, its because you don't want to.
@@jacobpresta5808 Oh so people can have a problem with the way the movie writers write the script, but not with the authors writing? If everything is supposed to be the way the books are written, there is no legitimate argument about any of the story line, that is not consistent with the books.
@@communicationstation6086 What are you even talking about? It IS consistent. It makes sense, its easy to understand as well. It's just that you don't like it or agree with it and as a result, can't "get people justifying" it.
1st things 1st, WHY TF is Dameon taking care of just those 2 boys when he has 2 DAUGHTERS that need their father!!!🙄2nd, Alicent’s boys are EVEN UGLIER!!😭 And 3rd, Baela BAD AF!!!😮💨 Daemon is still THE WORST character!! The Ali+Rhae ship has shipped once again.
theres no way vaemond would've gotten away with calling the kids bastards lol he literally says in the last episode that anyone who says it will get their tongue cut out. he wasn't leaving that room alive once he said that. also, bastards can be legitatmized.
