For context, they're laughing because in a previous interview, they were asked about how it's like getting back to a role after a long break, to which Fabien answered that it takes him a couple of months to ease back in. Matt then said they were only shooting for six months so he asked Fabs what the f- he was doing for two months. It's not funny if you're reading about it, but if you watch their interaction it's absolutely hilarious.
There’s just something so innocent on how Fabien only starts to giggle when Matt breaks first and all he can do is rub his eyes in humorous shame. Doesn’t rebuke him or tell him to stop. He seems like such a genuine friend. 💕
Bravo (Kelli Boyle ) You handled it like a pro, pretty gracefully and w humor. Many interviewers get weird about it, but you let them having fun while still asking the questions. It's better to have these moments instead of always asking the same kind of questions. You know it's all about entertainment

I absolutely have loved Matt Smith & his character Daemon. I grew such distain for Criston Cole, but seeing his personable & funny Fabian is, I absolutely love him too.

Well, if he doesn't feel hate and is still heartbroken, it means he's not over it yet. Every opportunity his character swears at Rhaenyra, and so far she hasn't mentioned his name. Only if it's in the next episodes, of course.

(*Whispering: in season 2, Cole sends an assassin to murder R*) This cannot be fondness, 😁😆 I saw the interview they were just laughing about - and before that one: Matt, Olivia & Fabien were all dying laughing in that one too. I think they’re exhausted. Prior to this interview , Fabien said that it takes him a few months to ease back into working on the HotD soundstage, and Matt busted up laughing, saying something like “a few months?! We’re only there for 6 months, mate!” 😮 😂 And then Fabien was crying-laughing and so was Matt. Sometime in between all this Olivia started being hilarious & they laughed through half or most of a Collider interview. I’m that kind of person who laughs along with the person who breaks due to laughter, so it’s been fun. ❤
Hey @@TVinsider, it's really nice that you posted the link to the relevant interview, even though it's not from one of yours. Please give Kelley Boyle (I think that's this interviewer's name) a raise, she handled it pretty gracefully and with good humor.
These press junkets are as entertaining as the show, if not more, which is absolutely what I am here for. Casts that deliver A-List performances on screen, then you put them in various rooms in various combinations with each other, as themselves, for another two months, and we get to watch them slowly go a bit loony from the whole process, rife with inside jokes and long, long days answering the same type of question over and over. It’s quality entertainment. Side note: bless Fabian, I have no idea how he delivered such a performance because it sounds like he is not the brightest bulb in the tanning bed when they put him on the spot like that. 😂They’re giving him all these weird questions and he’s answering back just as weirdly, Matt is like “oh man this guys gonna give another weird answer I just know it”😅 And bless Matt, the consummate professional, being like, “I am so sorry, we will add this time to your interview” 😂😂😂
The man speaks French, Spanish, and has a Bachelor of Arts and Lit., Just because he doesn't just give robotic PR answers. the first part of your comment w ok...but the " bulb" part is so unnecessary. And you sound so mean-spirited.
@@cnmcnm5853 I was more meaning that he’s not very good at the press junkets part of the job. I didn’t mean he’s actually stupid. But Fabian is the most out of place, he’s the slowest at answering the questions and his responses are often weird and maybe even poorly-reasoned based on the source material, and in general he’s just not very good at directly answering questions or staying on topic, even having done this before last season. He’s one of those actors where I’m more impressed the less I hear about his process.
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 I think he’s struggling to do a good job this press junket, he even seemed to do better last season because he was less heavily featured. I’m not saying he’s actually dumb, im not saying he isn’t a phenomenal actor, which at the end of the day is the only part of his responsibilities that truly matter, I’m saying he’s not great at this part of the job. The press junkets are harder for him than others I think. He’s less natural at them, he doesn’t have great answers a lot of the time, and when he gets too giggly he can’t really pull himself together.
No, they had an interview before this one (the interviewers change pretty fast) Fabien said something in the last interview and it carried on to this one, so they cant stop laughing about it.

WRONG. They explained that they were laughing from his previous answer in the PREVIOUS interview (about how long does it take them to get back into the routine of playing the character). TV insider even gave link in the comment above to that interview, and it REALLY started there. So just speak for yourself, mate.
Ser Criston hates Rhaenyra because she made him break his vow of chastity, then discarded him like a piece of trash. And yes, she raped him. He clearly said no. But he was a sexually frustrated man so he succombed to a girl who's not even pretty. What he and Alicent have is totally different. It's true love between two beautiful people with a moral compass even though they're not perfect. But who is? Rhaenyra has nothing to do with their relationship. It's not all about Rhaenyra, despite what her fans think. 🙄
