Nice home. Entrance is just too cluttered for my liking. What’s the point of a having the dining table with chairs there? The dining room Colours are a bit too drab in that space for me, maybe coz of the lighting? although having said that, the wall mural is an interesting feature
I blame it on covid! My husband took over the small game room so the game table moved into the living room and the game chairs into the foyer. We use them to sit down and put on our shoes so they are some what helpful 😂
Dear Editors of Designer Home Tours, The background music is unnecessary and irritating. and for god’s sake - PLEASE stop taping the home owners fluffing a throw pillow! It’s in every video.
What a dreamy home! She demonstrates how a body can easily be both a "city mouse" and a "country mouse" -- she's a designer with a taste for modern art and still loves a fresh pulled carrot and a big dusty barn. The mural in the dining room is really special. She didn't say if it was paper or painter; I was lucky enough to stay at a BnB in Vermont that had an original Colonial hand-painted mural in the dining room.
I agree that it didn't seem practical to have chairs around that table. The round table could stand alone in the foyer with florals and key catchers on it.
Love this, it's classy. Early American is not much in fashion, so therefore I love it. It's an enduring style for discerning people. It reminds me of Bunny Williams country house. Can't get any classier than that.
I know! Poor guy. He’s been with me for 10 years. I haven’t had the heart to get rid of him. I had a watering issue with it awhile back and it lost leaves on two branches. Any advise??
@@ashleydarryl4895 as much sunlight as you can give it, fertilizer in spring and summer. I recommend getting a moisture meter, they are really cheap, they tell you exactly when to give them a drink, which is usually as they go from slightly moist into dry. Repot every 2 years to one size bigger. That's all I can think of 😂
What a lovely tribute to an historic home. Love all your choices. And warm cozy welcoming understated style. Spaces intended to comfort you. Now that’s the good life.

What did she say about the jacket with the Confederate flag on the back? Considering the house is in NY, I’m assuming there’s a story behind it. Seems like an odd item to casually include in the video without addressing it, especially as she mentioned intentionally selecting “fun” decor for conversation starters.
It’s actually my uncles marching band outfit from when he was a little kid. My house is filled with items I’ve collected from my families homes over the years. Everyone asks about and it’s a fun way to talk about what came from my grandmothers attic 😂
Lovely home! I enjoyed your video. I absolutely adored the hanging lights in the kitchen. The white and black was something I would like to have. Any ideas where I might look for them? I did hear you say the lighting was left by the former owners renovation. Thank you for sharing.
