Her tongue in cheek, self-assessment of her style being borderline hoarder chic had me roaring with laughter. In my hands it would be a disordered mess, but with her talent and style everything looks MAGNIFICENT together. Thank you for sharing.

I am not a maximalist nor do I like a lot of color or mixing of patterns, but I fell in love with this home because of the homeowner. She is amazing! She is creative, interesting, charismatic, funny, centered, self aware, and I absolutely adore her design philosophy. This is definitely one of my favorite episodes!❤

If Isabel had a TV show, I’d watch it! Her spirit, her openness to change and embracing of colors and patterns is infectious! Love her home and love the feeling of it.

She has such a vivid personality which is reflected in her decor, but it becomes obvious that her color choices are well-thought out and curated, which allows her to use a lot of pattern without the whole becoming chaotic. I very much like and admire her home. What a wonderful place for children to grow up in.

I completely identify with the "Maximalist" style - nothing is more depressing to me than bare, white walls. I describe my townhouse as "Versailles meets The Cave of Alibaba meets Pee-Wee's Playhouse". I'm going to borrow her "hoarding chic" term as it really applies to me as well 😃

the more I watch videos about house decor the more sure I am that I would rather choose explosion of color warm and whimsy room vs stark white or even worse boring beige ! so needless to say I adore this house and adore everything inside it, I love her philosophy on decorating and love hoarder chic definition , thats kinda genius

After my divorce, I really went deep with changing up my style to reflect my love of color, texture, and pattern, along with brave selections of art and decor . I love vintage and funky finds that somehow work together! I find that when I get up in the morning, I always do a quick 15 minute redecorating of a space or two. Isabel, you’ve done a stupendous job of making your home wildly beautiful, yet family friendly at the same time. I’m headed your way from the west coast for a quick conversation cocktail!

I LOVE THIS VIDEO. Isabel is a natural...so authentic and personable. And she hit the nail on the head when she spoke about "analysis paralysis." So much wasted time stuck in that limbo of fear that a decision won't be "perfect." Lately, I find myself bored by all the channels where everything is lovely but perfect...houses that don't look like anyone actually lives in them. She's terrific and I so enjoyed this. I LOVE ALL the artwork I saw in this home. Although I'm not a maximalist, I agree that most of what she's done has worked. My two exceptions would be those striped chairs in the living room that I found visually jarring and a bathroom with floor length curtains and layers of carpet just feels unsanitary and difficult to clean. Otherwise, I agree, she should go for what makes her happy. I am VERY impressed that she is letting her children decide what their rooms will look like.

I like her personality, and her thoughts. I love seeing the photos in her kitchen counters, but for me, not practical. I can just see me moving them around to work on the counters. But like she said, its all about bringing joy to oneself. Nice.
