Last month, I went to take a tour of the Waverly mansion in West Point Mississippi. I was excited to see it because it is so unique and supposedly haunted by various spirits. When I got there I realized I have been given a unique opportunity to see it under renovation. I got to look at all the nooks and crannies of the original building and see what they had planned for the future. There is no furniture and it is definitely a construction zone but that is what makes this tour of the Waverly so unique.

Wow I can definitely see masonic influences in the architecture. The columns-the octagon shapes.

Didn't get to see the Mansion but did get to talk with Jimmy at the gate and he truly has a passion for the place. Great 15 minutes talking to him.

I agree, the mansion is magnificent!!! It's hard to believe it sat vacant for 50 years. I'll have to search for more stories of any hauntings/sightings there 😲 History the tour guide gave was so interesting! Thank you for this video!! Loved it! 🙂

Thank you so much! There are a lot of stories of hauntings. I didn’t go into that because there are so many videos on it and I wanted to focus on the history.

My sister and I visited the mansion about 25 or 30 years ago. I wasn’t allowed to take photos inside. So I took a few photos at the back of the house. I asked the little ghost girl to show her self…she did. I have a photo of her face in the window.

"He had 2,000 acres of cotton growing..." Hmmm who was doing the work on that cotton? I think it's really telling that this dude told you about the dogs and never mentioned the people who were enslaved here...

yeah, sometimes they skip over that part unfortunately. he didn’t tell me any ghost stories either although it is reportedly very haunted. I would imagine it would be haunted by some of those Cottonfield workers that they don’t talk about.

I know. I couldn’t keep a mic on me with all the moving around I was doing so it is very uneven.
