I really love the paint colour in the bedroom. The whole apartment feels really homely and comfy. We have a fado lamp and they give a lovely soft light.
Lovely apartment! I just wish they had a hood fan above the stove. I used to live in a 1920s apartment with a gas stove and no ventilation-it’s bad for your health! And everything above the stove will become greasy.
America needs to be like Japan and allow renters to make long contracts so they can transform their apartment into homes. People don't need houses if they can have long term apartments. Also, America needs to be like Germany and allow renters to make modifications.
I love this apartment! It doesn't even seem like an apartment, it appears like a home. I love the colors & the whole place is so cozy. It's all very collected looking. It's so much better than if they had just followed the trends & got everything from the trendy stores and ended up with a very beige, boring place. The kitchen is great, it's a good size and it's unique. It's a happy looking room. I would love to live in this colorful, homey, relaxing space.
I love the vintage look and color throughout. They are fortunate to have large and unique windows and a cozy and private outdoor space. The doggie seems to have many comfy spots to relax.
That fiddle leaf fig tree at the end is awesome 👍. Never saw one trained to arch across the ceiling like that before. Lovely, comfy, lived in looking apartment. TFS
So glad to see people shopping consignment, thrift, antique and garage sales to give new life to furnishings. Not only can it save money, but it creates rooms that are so much more interesting and “curated “, made to fulfill the needs of the people living in those rooms. Too often I see home tours of rooms that are beautiful, but just for show and not living or using. This apartment has been created for living yet is also beautifully designed. I really like their mcm design.
There’s no need to shame people for not buying second hand. I know it’s the ‘trendy’ thing to do but a lot of homes are beautiful and unique without needing to resort to ‘I’m such a hipster and so much better than others because I only shop thrift for a cool effect’
What a dynamite, physical apartment (moves beautifully). As for the objects - intelligent, soulful, easy and vital. (Love the checkerboard carpet runner - clever). "Informed," conscious base station. May all aspects of their lives reflect the quality they've gathered in their space.
I saw a pic of this (specifically the dining area) on Pinterest and loved it. Didn’t know whose it was. So happy it’s featured. One of my fav homes. It’s so beautiful!!! 🥰🥰🥰
I love the windows. Wow I was always told by my parents when the kids first moved out it doesn’t matter how big your apartment or home space is what you do with it that counts.😄
Enjoyed viewing your place … so many great ideas used … making use of space sooo well . Is there a laundry which is so handy … if not … could incorporate it in storage room .upright washer dryer😊😊
I love it all, especially the model on the patio furniture. I think a frame for the flat-screen would soften the sharp corners of that big black block and tie it into the rest of the house.
I love knowing how much things cost! It allows me to gauge the price of what I should be paying for similar items so don’t get ripped off or if I’m getting a bargain. It’s called comparison shopping.
@@bernadettedevereaux8694 I agree. In the context of a home tour about interior design it seems informative not gauche like it might at a cocktail party or some such.
Love this apartment, any changes I would make would be minimal. Love their mid-century vibe, and the coffee table is to die for! The plants and the terrace seal the deal for me. Brava!
Cody is a keeper! I am jealous you have a partner who has carpentry skills. Your apartment (with an outdoor space! Yay!) feels like a house that you turned into a home. Your patio has a lot of privacy, thanks to the beautiful foliage and flowering plants. My one bedroom place is furnished with eclectic, vintage, industrial and boho style furnishings that I bought on a shoestring budget. If you aren’t buying your place, you must have the most chill landlord, to allow you to paint and make modifications. I’m not into matchy matchy either. I love what you guys did with your home.
Her home has beige but not overpowering because all her unique thrifted frames on the wall cancels out the sad beige. Her sofa is not beige. Also having a tv in a home feels homey to me, idk, I guess because everyone uses iPads or their MacBooks to watch shows.
Beautiful, loving curating you guys have done for your space😍 I agree that home should surround the dweller(s) so we can go out into the world to do Good. Good vibes you two!
You two have such a beautiful home. It is a perfect example, you dont need to spend lots of money to have one. If you are lucky enough to have a good eye and patience (& nice vintage stores nearby 😃) you can create an attractive and personal home. Oh, and..... I remember the beach colour light next to the desk. I wanted one myself early 90's. Wishing you all the happiness in your home.
