When she showed the picture of the empty apartment I was stunned at how she had managed to turn something so plain into something with so much personality! Some people are just design geniuses! Love the apartment. Even though it’s not my aesthetic, I feel it’s very captivating and get a sense of such joy and also peace from the space. ❤
Very moving and in depth 8 minutes! Shout out to the editor. I can only imagine the full video. Great job to the whole team for choosing this woman and space to feature.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I also live in a studio and I absolutely love your furniture placement, your energy, your philosophies, your decor, colours, bringing the outdoors in, your altar and your love & respect for your mother. Best tour ever! 🧡🧡🧡
I feel safe just looking at it. I love her phrase "beautifully ugly," which could apply to a lot of cities. Her massage clients are walking into a very transformative situation. She understands transformation. The studio is stunning.
Love her design sense and spiritual centeredness! I could relate to all of it. I crave small spaces and have been happiest living in homes of 200-400 sf. I have a 1 bdrm apt right now of 600+ sf, and it feels way too big. Like Crystal, I also suffer from PTSD, and tiny spaces are the only ones where I feel safe.
@@arlenehutchinson9259 Thank you so much for your kindness. I have 2 kitties and a tiny Chihuahua to help fill up my space. Thank goodness for our pet families.
No reason really for me to prefer small spaces I just do. I love this space and like the idea of home being safe. In the past I’ve said home is comfortable but safe may be really closer to what I mean
She has such a lovely way about her. Not only is she beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. Her mother was absolutely gorgeous as well. I love her style and vibe and how she has created her peaceful home. It truly does look so cozy, comfy and a space that would feel like a warm hug. I downsized from a queen bed to a full because I just didn't need that space anymore, so I get the whole twin bed thought process as well.
“Its a career change, it’s revolutionary”. I felt this. I’m proud of you and love your amazing space. I watched this episode a few times back to back. She resonated with me.
I love everything about this... The space, the intentions, the woman, her way of thinking... It's inspiring and very thoughtful. It also feels like "home"... Very Philly.
You did a wonderful job decorating your small apt. You have given me several ideas on how to redo my 221sf bedroom. I love the many plants in the right places also.
I love how she furnished it and made it functional. I really think choosing a twin size mattress IS revolutionary! Cause we all want larger and roomy. Yet it's freeing and in reducing literally frees up space. It feels like a loved home. Thanks for highlighting her story and decor!
I am amazed on how beautiful this apt. is. I'm complaining that I'm moving into a 550 sq ft". full 1 bedrm apt. from a 650 one. I love your happy vibe with all those amazing colors you have in your place. I love it.
Gorgeous! Your intention, your love of nature(my place is filled with rocks, branches, dried flowers, acorns, twigs) & that photo of your mother is STUNNING!
I have so much respect for this wonderful confident woman. I completely understand how her home feels safe. She has taken all the good and positive energy and rewarded herself with her home.
This looks like such a welcoming place. I love all of the different options for seating, like you've been intentional about creating small moments for each area.
I love this place; it's gorgeous. It's my favorite of all that I have seen and I've plenty. My mom had a fork and spoon in the kitchen in our home when I was growing up. I'm just in love with your home!!!!
I feel like you can tell it's a successful design when you can clearly see that the space is an extension of the person's energy. This is definitely that. Such lovely natural energy. Love it!
I've been watching a lot of apartment tour videos and this feels so lived in. So many people are trying so hard to live in the Herman Miller catalog (which ain't a bad goal) they forget to add there own personality. "Beautifully Ugly" is the perfect descriptor here.
What a wonderful, personal space. I love how you brought in so much color, texture, art, and mementos into your space. Your were not constrained by the smallness of the apartment and used the space creatively. ❤️
Crystal: looking at your video is like coming in from the cold to a warm, cozy room and being given a hug by your Mama. I wish HGTV still had real decorating shows because so many of us could benefit from your insight, wisdom and authentic creative gift. ❤
I also sleep in a twin bed and it’s seriously so comfy and better in a small space!! Idk how ppl have queen beds in a studio sacrificing space when a tween bed is so much better
What a beautiful woman inside and out!!!! She has such a warm and nurturing soul. The apartment looked like a living, breathing canvas❤Will definitely be supporting her business👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I loved how she designed her place! Her placement of her furnishings are welcoming to anyone who visits! Peacefulness and blessed is how I feel watching it! Celebrating her mom by displaying her picture and crystals, at the entrance; is beautiful! This video was so relaxing to watch! ❤️🏡❤️
I don't know which l enjoyed more, this beautifully decorated apartment, or the warm and generous spirit of our hostess. Her references to her mom brought tears.
Probably the best studio apartment I’ve seen in a while! I absolutely loveee how she really made it her own. There’s nothing “aesthetic” about it. The energy from her and her home made me want to come visit. Awesome video! ❤️
I really like your energy and approach to life. You celebrate your roots, you work with energies and you live with a philosophy of more positivity and not more things. Wonderful!
Your energy comes through the screen. Even before you started talking I was like "I lover her vibe" and then you mentioned the fact that you have crystals. I love the altar that you created for your mother. Everything is just beautifully placed
Of all the tiny spaces I have checked out, this one has caught my eye the most. absolutely love it. would love to sit and chat with Crystal and listen to her. She has a wonderful soul.
One thing about these apartment therapy tours that I love is the warmth of the people. Your home is really and truly a reflection of the soul and I can really see her and where she is coming from. I am so happy that she was able to curate a soft enjoyable place for her to remember her mom and carry on her own legacy.
I truly resonated with the branches in her home. I do the same thing. I take elements of nature (stones, branches, etc) an incorporate them into our space. It’s especially fun for my daughter to participate in as well. I love bringing the outside in, making spaces feel fluid and comfortable. I love what she did! Protecting your space and energy is so important - that is something I learned as I grew into adulthood (probably around 27/28 years old) and am still embracing. She has a beautiful home.
Wow! Kudos to creating such a warm, welcoming home. Your clients are blessed to be provided with a nurturing environment. So much better than a cold, sterile, clinical setting! TFS
It will never stop amazing me how people can use of small spaces. She did amazing job for such a tiny space. Kitchen dividers and storage solutions are amazing. It's absolutely adoring how IKEA stuff and stuff from similar stores are making a space. This apartment is instruction how to use of space. Many professionals can learn from her.
Such a beautiful space, and the warmth and compassion just flows from this lady. Its an inspiration that is wonderful to share, when we see someone follow their dreams and make them their life, a little part of us thinks.... what if? Can I? I say yes, go for it! 💚
I think you did a wonderful job with the placement of all your things and I especially love your bed and the colors/ patterns you have on it. And I love your chair!
Wow, this space blew me away, I want to live here. Crystal is brilliant at decorating and curating space. I love how she talks about energy and healing, home is so much more than pretty eye candy...its safety. memories and coziness.
I relate to this so much! My family used to joke about how my grandmother and I would collect sticks or rocks. And I ‘borrowed’ an old wooden spoon and fork set when we moved from our family home 😊
@@bijismythe551 the hand-carved wooden utensils are one of those things that were at one point used practically but are now appreciated as folk art. Some are simple and others are more intricate. The set I have has lions at the top of the handle :)
I watch a lot of these type shows. Your space knocked my socks off. So personal and extraordinarily beutiful. I feel your message thru the screen. Thank you!
Thank you for your beautiful words and sharing your story. It’s lovely to see and feel that we too can radiate our thoughts into our living environment.
you only need enough space to be alive in and you have created an awesome place to live in comfort and peace, I really like it and can see why you feel safe
