The House voted Wednesday to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over audio recordings of President Biden's interview with special counsel Robert Hur, who investigated Mr. Biden's handling of classified documents. Mr. Biden asserted executive privilege over the recordings.

The President is elected by the people but you authorized him or her to make those kind of decisions. You authorize their finger on the button literally. Better think before you boast 🤨

So you just watch a RU-vid video, and make an "informed" opinion. Executive privilege has already been implemented.They have the transcripts,as well as testimony from Hur himself. Releasing them would invariably lead to misuse.

@@fieldthrasher Garland already admitted the transcript was edited. Knowing that, they obviously want to compare the transcript to the recording, as any prudent investigators would. Garland had a duty to hand it over. "Executive privilege" was used as a tool to bar public knowledge unnecessarily, as there is no classified information involved. Transparency is the best course to restore public trust. Allow the entire public to hear the recording, and let them decide for themselves. Truth dies in darkness.

Yeah, I want to know that, too. It's the last House Republican with any sense of decency, conscience, or justice. I also want to know who are the seven Democrats who didn't vote. If anything, Garland should be impeached for gross and persistent obstruction of justice, as he has done NOTHING about Trump or any of his politically prominent criminal allies. William Barr prosecuted more criminal Republican politicos than Garland probably ever will. And Garland has SO many more of them to deal with. Donald Trump could not have hand-picked an AG who would have protected him more than Garland has. Edit: Sure, Garland appointed a special prosecutor -- and has been hiding under his desk ever since.
