We spent a week in a houseboat rental on the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway. This was an amazing experience to be able to sit and watch the boats coming back and forth from the ocean.
This rental is located in Beaufort, North Carolina and is close to the Crystal Coast, Atlantic Beach, Cedar Island and many places to explore. If you are looking for a relaxing time look this up on VRBO or google Beaufort Waterway RV Park. They have a boat launch so you can bring your fishing gear and spend your time on the water.
