Housekeeping - Drama/Thriller Short Film 

Great short. She was charmed by him and his subtly flirty ways, til she found out he was married. She was disappointed but the wife turned out to be a kind and loving woman. So when MC realized he was having an affair despite the wife being seemingly perfect, she had nothing but disdain for him. Might have reminded her of her ex.

That housekeeper really got very emotionally attached to a person she didn’t know from a can of paint. I guess it goes to show how far an innocent compliment can get you in life. 😉

You see someone and your first impression is infatuation. This video shows the sometimes brutal reality that first impressions create a false reality. An excellent and thought provoking video. Well done.

Rule number 1 : no emotionnal involvement at work.

A housekeeper that wanders around, snooping, getting emotionally attached... without cleaning anything... not even bringing in her trolley... BEWARE 😂😂

The housekeeper was incredibly beautiful but also incredibly crazy. That is why I loved this. Her facial expressions were awesome. Great camera work and use of lighting. I hope to one day be able to make films of this quality.

Perfect story line. A housekeeper gets a view of a person's life, puzzle piece after puzzle piece. Especially someone in extended stay.

I have done custodial work before. I very much related to Kate B's character. I absolutely LOVE the understated power that this woman (The Maid) has... most people pay no attention to, or even take "the help" seriously... it's a kind of subtle disrespect based on an assumption about you as a person based on the fact that you clean up after strangers... this story is really well told, Thank You.

Well, I was expecting someone to get killed. But in real life, many people get away with cheating, so, it was suitable. Nice short film!

As bad as the cheating was, I think the "sweetheart" and "doll" comments accentuated his superficiality and pushed her to set him up despite her knowing that she was crossing a boundary.

Like layers of the onion, we think we know someone or some circumstance, but it takes time to grasp the people or the circumstances around us. The beginnings, when we first meet someone, or go into a new situation, are our own fantasy, but then with increasing knowledge we become more informed. The maid increased her knowledge-as she opened the door to the room each time, just like each day brings us new awareness of our circumstances. She made a decision at the end, but was it the right one? Her action created a ripple effect on the lives of the couple, and her. If she had gotten to know him and the couple better would she have made the same decision? Thanks for a really creative and wonderful short film!

That was really great ! Better than most Netflix movies. The color gradient, the light, the audio, the music, the editing, the camera movement, the actors, it was all perfect ! I would watch a 2-hour version of this.

I was terrified he was going to kill her any moment because of the thriller description, well crafted film, nice surprise ending 👏

An endearing mood throughout with the timing, camerawork and music. Intriguing plot, which although is simple, it is unpredictable and thought provoking. I feel the phrase “less is more” works well here.

WHAT THE HECK?!?!? This was so good !! Good is such an understatement, the colors blended in perfectly. It looked almost like an alternate universe, the acting was immaculate and the silence spoke so loudly. I'm truly impressed. This deserves so much more love!!!

So, the movie is about a housekeeper in the hotel, who has had a separation from her husband, I gauge due to cheating. She finds out this man is up to no good, and rest is history.

Sophia had boundary issues. They both mutually flirted but she took it way too seriously. Housekeepers see cheating spouses all the time, its their job to clean the rooms, not get involved in the guests personal lives. Some people see Sophia as a hero, I just find her mean spirited and pathetic.

I came across this shortfilm by accident, but I'm glad that I did. Really great work tho. Good story, interesting characters, well made, catching and the twist at the end is nice too.

Very very good. I guess she realises that he can’t see past her role as a Housekeeper and decides on a very appropriate revenge. The near monochrome colour palette and the lighting are really well executed. There should be a sequel.

I think the casting was perfect! Each actor really fit their role. I also loved the transitions. The one where she moves her hand along the sheets is so satisfying! And I still can’t figure out how you did that scene where she leaves the room with a braid, the caption “one week later” has passed and then the door opens and she has a bun. Keep it up!!

This was a great film. It's just that obviously poeple were expecting a horror. The music was setting a horror like atmosphere. You know what you was doing with the music😆. GREAT JOB👍

The housekeeper assumed the man was single and was wrong (married), she assumed the women was a guest and wrong (wife), and she assumed the blonde girl was a mistress. Was she wrong again? Was the blonde maybe a sloppy daughter?

Am I the only one who is thinking that the younger woman who visited the man could have been his daughter? She could have left that messy trail of clothing when she came in really tired, knowing that he was gone for the day. That would put a very different perspective on the maid leaving incriminating evidence.

Did anyone notice their dilated pupils at the beginning? Masterfully captured.

Damn! ..simple but dark....DARK!!!!

I hesitate to use the word "spellbinding," but I can't think of another description. Clearly, the housekeeper is a bit needy and lonesome and ultimately vengeful. She's also authentic, vulnerable, irrational--welcome to the human race. I've worked in hospitality, and yes, one can get curious. It's not necessary to show her cleaning. We can take this for granted since the resident seems pleased with her, and it would add weight to a sleek, gorgeously shot piece of art. Well done, Tracy Kleeman.

Well written and filmed. I liked the opening camera shot from under front of cart showing her walking. My take on the plot: Housekeeper enjoyed face to face encounter with older gent. has ideas of flirtation/seduction (lets hair down in front of the door ) then meets wife. Hskeeper accepts that he is happily married and respects that. When she finds evidence he is cheating she is now jealous, (why her? why not me?) and finds a way to frame him. I could not read the early text messages on her phone but I think they had to do with care for her son? So I'm guessing she is a single mom?

Well here, having worked in housekeeping, I came here to see if it was some kind of work related horror experience. But this... Whoa 😳 I couldn't imagine overstepping that kind of boundary. Always tried to not be in the rooms very long. In & out.
