Well done,, Those beds are heavy too 😫 I just started a job in housekeeping at a hotel I like it but it's a lot of work and the carts are huge, way different than being a housekeeper in a nursing home.
It's good to REMEMBER how much WORK back and forth it takes from one single person and APPRECIATE these peoples' hardships when we see a neat guest's bed, wherever we go and sleep in it. The Tourism industry is filled with hard working, underpaid backstages, from airlines to housekeepers, maids and cooks so that guests and tourists enjoy their HOLIDAYS. Thank you very much for sharing😍
For the people who say she’s going to slow, well how are you supposed to learn if she was zipping along to fast? Remember, it’s a tutorial, “free training class”, be appreciative she’s even sharing. ❤
That is so true. A beautifully made bed has a huge psychological impact. Over the years, I've had a couple of bed and breakfasts as clients. How the bed is made in a place like that is very important. Also, one of my housekeeping clients actually cried the 1st day I cleaned her house. Not only was the house in order but I had made a beautiful bed for her. I asked her what was wrong and she said "nothing, you made me feel like a princess."
Brilliant demonstration that thankfully wasn’t fast forwarded like in other videos and actually mentioning you use hospital corners. Glad to see another way of getting a huge duvet inside a cover coming from a little person. I’m going to try it out as normally I have to stand on the bed to get the duvet in - even then it isn’t right lol
It might be to much talking, cleaning to slow, or playing around. Or if something come up missing it will be hard to say who stole the item. At my hotel only one housekeeper is allowed in a room for these reasons. Unless the person need help finishing their list at the end of the shift.
@@Shon9tilR THAT IS POSSIBLE TOO, BUT I STILL STAND WITH 2 PERSONS DOING A ROOM WITH THAT MUCH WORK AND FOR TALKING YOU USE YOUR MOUTH NOT YOUR HANDS. IT COULD ALSO BE TRYING TO MAKE ONE PERSON DO A JOB THAT SHOULD BE FOR TWO, THAT'S A LOT OF SAVINGS FOR THE EMPLOYER,( JUST SAYING....HMMMMM.
@@laverneedwards3295 I agree with two people. At my job housekeepers have stolen items, so they aren’t allowing two people in a room. We have about 10-25 rooms to clean a day :/
I worked in Best Western hotel Five years, looking back I don't know how I did it,some of the rooms would be trashed, 16-20 rooms daily this brings back memories.
Thank you for posting this. I do all cleaning and dusting before I fix my bed. The last thing I do is fixing and decorating my bed. I love to fix and decorate my bed different ways. For Independence, valentine, Birthdays. I do the colors.
Thanks alot sis was looking forward to leraning how to make bed correctly.I did a refresh course for food and beverage.Iam looking forward to get a job in hotels
I put the duvet inner into the top corners of the cover, and attach a bulldog clip. Then easy to do the bottom corners with bulldog clips, then shake evenly and do up the buttons/snaps. Remove the bulldog clips and all done in about 5 minutes.
Great job. Very good precise information too. Thanks for sharing. I do my bed nearly the same. I only had changed the way to put the duvet cover due to my health condition. I use the method of rolling it with the duvet on top of cover (which has to be inside out)... roll both together (top to bottom) and at the bottom, place the hole through the aperture, fasten and then unroll (bottom to top). That will save your arms like did to mine.
That's Canada for your sir because those people are very neat but here in Nigeria,it take like 45minute because of way our people use rooms is worrisome
yes, that's what I wondered. If 2 people are asigned more rooms would be completed in less time and with less effort...I worry about their back pain and arm/shoulders hurting at the end of their duty! Of ocurse they are in the business, but how can we forget that they are also having human bodies that would hurt and pain! I value their manual labor. Thanks the whole hospitality business.
wonder, why not have 2 persons do this job , it would so quick and less strenus! And they can achive more rooms completed in less time. It would become very efficient economically too! Excellent way to do the beds. Hats off to you M'am!
It not a easy jod 👩 I been having 6 room for check-out + including the sofar bed again porch kitchen toilet only one person I thanks God at 42 years old I stop ✋ I been love doing it but only the stress coming from the supervisor could discourage you I do it the same in my room my love 💓 to stay in the room that was 2 weeks ago we made the together with new color duvet cover then the way have do it at the hotel 🏨 respect to you bb.
I have been working in the same job for nine years. I have not received my right in this field. I clean twenty rooms a day for a small salary in Morocco. I am divorced and have two sons. I wished I could work in a European country. At least there are people who are humane and appreciate the effort.
I just started today and the beds is what makes me stay in my rooms longer then I should. It took me 35-40 mins to clean my room today was my first day. We get 28 minutes a room
Each hotels are different and thank God our workplace wants to save the planet😂...we use only 3 flat sheets...no decor whatsoever, no duvet cover to insert the duvet. The duvet is placed in between the last 2 sheets. Voila!
