It is so wonderful to see younger people so into plants! I kept my first houseplant in the 1970s. You are such a lovely soul. I really enjoyed your tour and I love your passion towards plants. Plants can be such a rewarding and healing hobby. God Bless young lady!

I have loved plants since the age of 9, I got my first cactus and kept it alive for years. now i’m 16 and i don’t remember what ever happened to that cactus, but I got back into plants and in two years i’ve accumulated around 40 plants. I have had many ups and downs, last winter I lost a lot of plants but have been slowly replenishing my collection. Watching them grow and thrive is so rewarding. I find any environment to be way more pleasing if it has plants!

Hi Fern! My experience with zz plants is that warmth and light will bring them to life and cause growth. I live in Pacific Northwest, 1 hour north of seattle. When I put my zz in my south facing window it starts popping off. Maybe u could try that with your raven to see if it makes a difference for you too! ❤️

Mine did nothing in the end of the summer (24/7 on a east facing window), kept her inside for the whole winter still nothing, and two weeks after trying her on the same window in April this year, two beautiful shoots came out! Even taller than the previous ones!

I recommend to cut the Obliqa runner, and propagate the individual nodes, it can either cause a new leaf or more runners which then you can continue the process, happy growing!

Hey Fern 😊 Hoya tend to flower after stress. To encourage them, skip a watering here and there. When they sense stress it triggers them to reproduce. Hello blooms 😊 Amazing video! Love the new place! You've made it so beautiful and you look so happy 😁It was amazing seeing all your beautiful plants again. Especially the dragon scales! I always look out for her in every video, lol. Can't wait for the next one! Love, light and happy planting 🌺

If you have trouble growing certain plants such as the ZZ plant find a friend who has an aquarium and ask him to leave you some water from the aquarium water change, use it for watering no more than once a week, plants should grow faster thanks to the natural compost from the aquarium. PS. Cheers from Poland.

So I had this saved to my watch later folder because it was so long that I needed to find the right time to watch it. Now seven months later, I finally remembered to watch it, lol. Anywho, I didn't know until this video that you have a black pagoda lipstick plant! I love them and only recently got one. Unfortunately, it didn't ship well and lost multiple stems and leaves...but fortunately, I have two stems left that are pushing out new leaves. I'm curious if you still have your cuttings, did they root for you and how is the plant doing now? Do you have any care tips/propagation tips? Hope you're enjoying spring!

Hi!! I'm studying plant pathology and I think you might be looking at nutrient deficiency in the plants where the new growth is yellow/ presenting chlorosis. If it is a nutrient deficiency your most likely looking at an immobile nutrient due to it only being on the new leaves. I would look into that and see if there is maybe a fertilizer or nutrient mix you can add to them. Again, not sure if this is the exact cause because I would need to look into it more, but it is something you could look into!

I think the plant that you called a Philodendron brandtianum is actually a Sodiroi. In the video it looked like it had some red on the stems--Brandis have all green stems. And it's a wider V at the top of the heart-shaped leaves--Brandis have a tighter V at the top. But since this was in 2022, maybe you already know this. I could be totally wrong. I'm basing it on some videos I reecently watched while trying to identify whether I had a Brandi or a Sodiroi.

When propagating 'string of' types try taking the vine and placing on top of a small pot of soil and water when dry (allow to dry some but not harden) and water from bottom by setting pot in water and allow to absorb up to avoid to water around foliage or it'll rot that has been my experience at least good luck

Hey Fern 🌱 loved the video. As for your stunning Hastatum, I feel your pain, id have taken her home to but if she is really taking up to much space then pick a nice mature stem (or 2) and air layer it then chop and pot it up with a pole straight way, and just sell the big mama. Then you have a nice mature plant that is more manageable. Then in the future when you have more space you can air layer, chop and prop to make a bug bush again, if you want or just continue to grow it tall and see how big you can get the leaves...🌱💚 P.s Gretta is looking so beautiful, looking forward to watching her become a massive big mamma again..😁

How the heck do you even care for 180+ plants all by yourself? I'm struggling with my 60. I probably invest ~1 hour daily just to water them and report one or two every now and then, because every day another few need water and I gotta take them all to the sink, water, let them sit for a few mins and put them back into their planters.
