We had two hibiscus plants in the front of the house. They got lots of sun and were watered daily. The little girls passing by would always pick them to put in their hair. Hibiscus is quite common in 🇯🇲

Thank you for a great video on hibiscus. I have grown them for years but this is the first time that I have started them from seed in my small greenhouse. My plants are about 2 months along now and almost a foot tall. My question to you is this. When do they take on that woody look on the trunks and and when do the leaves take on more of a sheen? Right now they have a matte surface and look nothing like mature hibiscus? Thank you again for the tips in your video.

As the stem matures it will become woody.

Hibiscus are definitely plants. I keep mine indoors as houseplants over the winter months

I’m just now bringing my plant inside from being outside in the snow and cold for months I repotted it and cut the dead roots off added new soil I hope it grows back
