sometimes just double check if you are going actually 80. maybe it feels that 80 but in reality 60 ;-). Jokes aside, but I had recently conversation with my neighbor for tailgating me for no reason@@k7aya
@@k7aya80 on 65😳😳 OMG!! Thats crazy!! The reason they marked 65 is to keep us safe not to keep us away from aggressive drivers. Follow the rules-follow the limits🙄 I will not become aggressive just bc others are. It is my life in danger if having a crash by speeding. Be careful 😳
Nope the illegals will be for no license and insurance. No disrespect they’re more likely to cause harm by drunk driving and smashing into private properties on the southwest
@@up4221 someones upset theyre about to get a ticket, but yes it would probably exclude those of us who are pissed that we have to share a road with people who cant follow a speed limit because theyre so unintelligent they cant get places on time
Most often, innocent people just trying to get to and from their destinations are terrorized by extremely aggressive drivers to the point of causing roll-overs and rear-end collisions.
@@JB-uk7mn break checks shouldnt be an issue if your following at a safe and legal distance, you must be new to houston traffic if thats what worries you
Here's an idea. Enforce the left lane passing only law. Move truckers out of fast lanes. Target distracted drivers. ...then maybe there wouldn't be road rage.
I just moved to the Hill Country from the Houston area and I can honestly say, what a difference! Houston drivers on both the freeways and farm roads speed, tailgate and gun it more than I have ever seen. Those losers are angry and unsafe people and need to be stopped. Slow down and just leave your house 10 minutes earlier people!!!
Dumb, facilitate a pass, don’t use cruse control, get the hell over. We’re not speeding because we’re late, we’re speeding because we’re comfortable. Aggressive drivers are not the problem, it’s passive aggressive drivers who are the problem.
ABOUT TIME!!! Please add people that blow red rights too. Where I live in Humble, cars, truck, semi trucks, everyone runs reds. I'm not even talking about cutting it close, I'm talking about it's been red for five to ten seconds red and t-boning an innocent person kind of red. Houston has by far the worst driving and laziest police out of any city I've been in.
Vehicular crime is horrible in the city. Worst in the nation along with Los Angeles. Add it to the very long list of problems in Houston. Also, it looks like Harris County is leading the nation once again with DWI related deaths...I never forget the calls I took as an ex HPD dispatcher. They were very rough prayers to the first responders in Houston.
@@JB-uk7mn sure seems like they did by doing the legal thing and voting in a mayor who holds people accountable, dafuq you upset about? that people are doing the right thing? that society around you came together and are making change? just know more is coming and maybe take your own advice and capitulate to the rest of us
Easy to do...start patrolling during morning and evening rush hour...put police officers in semi trucks so they can see how most cars are reckless around semi trucks...very easy fix however it actually requires the police to work instead of hanging out at gas stations pretending to work
Man, I'll be in the phine with dispatch while I'm following a drunk driver. The cops never show up, but their supposed to catch aggressive driver's..? Thats a needle in the haystack although its everywhere.
I45 north is horrible. Aggressive drivers are vefy comfortable usually driving at the ladt minute from the left crossing everyone and right and exiting. This has to stop.😡
How about HPD create an upload site. Where commuters can send the dashcam videos. This way, 50 ppl uploading a video of (1) car driving aggressive isn't a coincidence or targeting someone's driving. A fast lane change isn't aggressive, only if it's a near miss to your vehicle.
Oh, thank you.. please, Please,🙏🏽🙏🏽 loan some of your officers to the Dallas Metroplex area where it is desperately needed.. No one knows how to drive here, and our police officers won't do anything about it. They only stop speeding vehicles and drug dealers. Maybe the speeding Vehicles wouldn't be speeding if they weren't trying to get around the horrible driving drivers... If I'm not mistaken, according to google, Texas has held the number one spot in the worst drivers and has the most accident related deaths in the last several years.. Hmm, it makes you wonder🤔 To be honest, it's kind of terrible being the fact that they don't have the most traffic.
These police officers and mayor are really trying to go around the real problem. They need to post minimum speed on the left lane. TO THE POLICE: The real problem is the left lane campers who refuse to move or do not pay attention to what’s happening behind them because most are too busy watching their phones. The seem to neglect the “left lane for passing only” sign even when the center and right lane is clear. I see it everyday! POLICE AND MAYOR: Solve the real issue and stop making up excuses to justify your actions!
Well, they are just starting this plan. Allow them some time to realize what works and what not. There is absolutely no reason to be aggressive just move out of the way of the driver you don't like. Be safe.👍
I remember back in the 90s , early 2000s, we would look out for traffic enforcement, even had the radar detectors. HPD was always on the roads. Where in the F@#$ have they been the past several years??!! Oh yeah we're in a Blue City...
Even blue cities are subject to legislation and funding from their red state leaders. Remember it goes Federal, State, and then local. Considering Abbott is constantly stripping constitutional powers and money from Harris County and Houston, i find it fascinating that you dont place any of the blame on the Republicans that have been in state office for years. Why do Republican controlled states have the worst health care, education, and crime rates out of the country? You cant blame democratic cities when it's the Republican state leaders that make the rules.
Only way to completely stop it is for law enforcement to use citizen provided dash cam footage as evidence to convict drivers for violations like running red lights, speeding, unsafe lane changes, illegal passing, etc. As an incentive, if ticket revenue is collected, give the citizen who provided the evidence 60% of the proceeds as 1099 contractor income. If they do that all drivers will get dash cams and there will be total surveillance everywhere at all times. Around 20 years ago when Houston had red light cameras, something like 80% of the revenue from tickets was going to some company in Arizona that owned and installed the red light cameras. It would be better if the local public got paid instead.
If people would only use the left lane for passing and make the pass quickly, there would be less aggressive drivers. These left lane law breakers should be the focus
Cops all over America stopped pulling ppl over because of COVID and the "no contact unless necessary" orders and now that COVID is over none of them really want to start doing traffic stops again. I don't blame them It's extremely high risk/low reward for thm to be standing at someone's driver's side window while drunken maniacs are flying by at 90mph.
😂😂😂😂 i bet 95% of these "aggressive driving incidents" are caused by someone doing 30 in a 45 , or 67 in a 65 if the far left lane! If you can't, at a minimum, maintain the speed limit, get out of the left lanes. And if its takeing you 6 years to pass someone speed up or slow down and get behind or in front of them....SMH remember for every action there WILL be a reaction. P.S. You are not the cops. So get out of the way and stop trying to regulate everyone else on the roads speed, Karen
It’s unsafe to drive below the speed limit and camp out in the passing lane restricting the flow of traffic. So, they better be pulling those people over too!
