His run defense is what really won him rookie of the year. He pretty much single handedly changed the Texans run defense from dead last to top 7 he was a top 3 run stopper in the league among everyone let alone rookies also thanks to the head coach

As a Texans fan Will going to continue to get better and better in his rookie season he was already an elite run defender and some fans were complaining about why not getting sacks. I wasn’t worried because the sacks are going to come not to mention he was getting doubled team at times as a rookie. With him becoming a better pass rusher plus his already being great setting the edge as a run stopper and having Danielle Hunter on the other side. Expect Will Anderson to have a pro bowl type season and many more in the years to come

@@zackhurwitz9441 they have Settle and Fatukasi for run defense on the interior D Line... Autry for faster pass rushon the interior and JJ Watt may be returning in that slot too

Easily the best run stopping DE rookie I’ve ever seen. I see him becoming a good not great pass rusher, about 11 sacks a season

@@jarikenlow5334 will atp in his career is almost exclusively a power rusher, JC Latham is rock solid against pure power, we saw Anton Harrison shut will down last year bc of that same reason, I’m a Texans fan lol just being realistic unless he adds more to his game he’s gonna struggle against some guys

But I have high hopes will anderson will win because he only ran into 1 guy in college that gave him problems and he wasn't playing a full time edge like he is now in the NFL.

JJ Watt was in town over Thanksgiving to visit his brother in law Brian Cushing's family. JJ spent a lot of time in the gym at NRG that week and I'm assuming he gave WAJ some pointers, because that's when his sack numbers jumped. If that was the case and WAJ is a sponge learning from vets, consider that he spent the offseason working out with Myles Garrett and now has Danielle Hunter teaching him during OTAs.

@@YepNah I'm guessing you ran into a few weird people, most of the fan base was high on him. RU-vid X reddit facebook. I only saw fans get hyped up. Anderson is one the highest defensive prospects to come out of college. Reason he was 3rd overall was because he had two elite QBs ahead of him.

@@howardmighty6764 a professional athlete getting paid to workout every day can 10000% gain 20 pounds…you do realize diet plays a huge role he’s probably eating more to bulk up lmao a nfl off season is a lot different you have paid nutritionist and a lot more consistent workouts that on top of eating more it’s not crazy at all what so ever even the slightest bit for him to gain 20 pounds if you are talking out of your ass just say that
