A 25-year-old woman has been arrested and charged after authorities said she was attempting to lease property in both Harris and Fort Bend Counties using a stolen identity.

UPDATE: Cops cornered her in a parking lot and she started flapping her eye lashes. She was last seen flying north east at an altitude of approximately 100 feet! Keep your eyes open people!!
Identify theft is a serious crime and should be punishable at a minimum of 15 years even for the first offense. How did she get this woman's identify information?

I work at an apartment community and this happens A LOT. They are very sophisticated and organized. People LOCK YOUR CREDIT and never give out your social security number. I can't tell you how many times I get asked over the phone to verify it. Doctor and dentist ask for it, I always put the wrong one down. Never been questioned about it. They don't need it if you have insurance.

Lazy reporting… how did the rental company and cop have the NY woman’s direct phone number? What showed up on her credit report? Did she also have the woman social security number?
