Hey Everyone! We are hard at work renovating our double wide home here at the homestead! A much needed project that has been on the back burner for some time. That has been keeping us VERY busy though and we are a bit behind on videos! So this morning we had to go feed the horse herd and do a check in on all the mares and we thought you would like to join us and come along! Then we added in a compilation of some extra content of the horses. Out Clydesdale stallion Oliver and MFT stallion Champ playing! Our stallion Bob running! Our two cute mini pony mares, Daisy and Winnie! Plus an update on our mare Rosie and a wyick update on the sheep flock! Quite a bit of content stuffed into one video! lol

Hey all. I probably should have gone into more detail about Bob. I realize there will be a lot of questions. We will try to do a video one day on him and exactly what happened etc. He doesn’t do this often. For the most part you can’t even tell he has an issue. Again, for the most part it seems to happen if he is in a contained area. We had him in the dry lot before this, thinking it would be a big enough space for him but unfortunately we were wrong. After filming this, within 30 mins he got his leg adjusted and back in place by running and kicking and was back to normal. Today he is still good 😊

From what I've been told all my life, if a horse lays out flat on their back to sleep they feel comfortable and safe. That's all the love you give them. They all look great.

Hi there, thanks for keeping us updated. Good luck with the rennovation. Upon seeing Bob, my first thought was that it was a miracle that he can again run around like this. I very lividly remember the videos of him being sick. - And then came your explanation. ☺ Anyway, if he can cope with his handicap like that, provided he has enough space and exercise, and is free of pain, I think he has a very good life as a horse especially given the possibility your homestead provides. And he still is such a beautiful horse... ❤

Beautiful horses ❤ Thank you for the wonderful update. I’ve noticed Oliver overreaches a lot in his videos. They make Clydesdale size overreach boots, pop some on your wish list guys, I’d be happy to get him a pair. 🙏🏻❤️ I’m sure you already know this but it can cause lameness, wounds or extreme damage to the front legs or hooves in bad cases. It will be Oliver’s EPM that has caused this.

How does your horse Bob let you know if he's in pain? He looks so happy go-lucky most often. I just love watching your channel every day. I am one of your many fans. Those horses are so lucky to have you taking such excellent care of them. You can tell by the way they come up to you when you're shooting the camera within their view. Fun to watch ❤

I’m not sure. I’m thinking about just recapping his first year. Maybe just do his year in 30 mins and then another video weighing and measuring him….have any ideas?

I have no idea if you have the ability to do this with editing. But I’d love to see a couple of before and after pictures of all Oliver in which you show him before in a certain pose, then fade and superimpose the new Oliver over the top of the old photo. Does that make any sense? It would be a great way to physically show the changes in his appearance and size and just the space of one year. I don’t know much about editing myself, so this may not be possible. But it would be cool if it were.

I am so glad to see he recovered. It makes me happy, and it brings me comfort to see him playing and enjoying his life to the fullest. I had a palomino who got it and unfortunately I wasn’t this lucky. But it brings me a sense of comfort because your horse just reminds me of him.

Just an fyi my first horse/pony that I had for 32 years loved to nap stretched out. He got to the point where I could walk up to him and cuddle with him. As a prey animal they don’t let just anyone do that.

@15:45 thank you for explaining what’s going on with Bob 💜 Clearly this bothers him hence his running around to get it back in place but does it seem painful to him or more of an annoyance? To my untrained eye his head is lifted seemingly enjoying the breeze, he appears to be sniffing the air and taking in everything around him so it doesn’t look like he’s in pain but I’m just curious to know if pain is ever an issue
