As someone who makes skincare products, a clear gel in a bottle is a sign gelling carbomer was used. Real aloe vera gel is cloudy and is exactly what you see when you fillet an aloe leaf. There is also no 100% aloe vera product because a preservative will always be needed for extended shelf life and safety. If you want 100% aloe vera just harvest from a aloe leaf. That is 100% aloe.

@mdml0
@mdml0 2 года назад
@@olmakses5428 you can if you know what you're doing. You can use the ones i mentioned in another comment if you have access. Just know that using preservatives will also require microbial testing so you can check if your preservative is actually working and if there is any harmful bacteria or mold growing in your aloe juice. Then you also have to check and adjust pH to suit the preservative. For short term preservation and if you don't want to mess around with preservatives and testing, I suggest just freeze your aloe fillets and take one out as you need it. Make sure to sterilize everything.

I started using Aloe jell straight from the leaves when I was in Africa to help heal mosquito bites, small cuts, or scratches. Just grow your own plant, I was shocked by how resilient it is (I even grew it in London), and when you need it you just cut a piece and get your own gel.

Ok everyone saying "grow your own" seem to forgot how many people live in apartments. While there are varieties that will do fine in apartments they're not the ones you want to use for topical use or consumption. Those need a lot of sun and a decent sized pot. However, if you're lucky enough to have access to that they do really grow easily and you can forget to water them for weeks and they won't die. I had one my landlord let me keep out on the walkway and I left it out for over two months without watering (was gone due to an unfortunate disease complication) but when I came back only the outer leaves had died and the core was still going strong. Started watering it again and she's doing just fine.

When I was young I used to have frequent stomach upsets, especially after eating spicy or oil-heavy foods - it runs in our family. I would visit the restroom uncomfortably due to my sensitivity so my mother bought a leaf and boil in water with just 4-5 thin slices and put it in a refrigerator. My family would drink it like water and did this for about 2 years. My stomach problem is gone for 10+ years now. So grateful for its benefit. I would not buy “aloe drinks”. Check out their nutritional facts, they are just like cola with flakes, so high in sugar and would not do any good to your health.

I’m from England U.K. I have one of these plant in the film, in my front room, had it for over 20 years. I have used it many times for burns and sun burns. One on a child who backed into a bbq and burnt his back really bad, the leaf sorted him out a treat, he had no pain, and it healed lovely. When I lived in New Zealand I used to drink an alo product. No idea if it was “real” or not, but anyway. I don’t need any government to tell me if it works or not, I know I does. ☺️. Great little film.
