I hope they release a BE set focused on non super break characters like Boothil. I love boothil, and would love to use something that actually enhances his kit. Imagine a set for him that action advances forward if the unit is single target break damage dealer, how much fun would that be.

Meanwhile boothill doesn’t even has a 4 lightcone that suits the slightest his kit. Insane.

Look at even Blade, he got no dedicated support for him till now. Idk why hoyo doesn't give love to male characters, make me kinda sad for them since I love male characters as much as the female ones.
@@SI4NAYou don’t need speed, but it’s still a sub you want if you want useful subs. But yeah ff gets less from subs in general so a subpar set will effect her less but a great set won’t help her as much as it would for others.
One good thing about the forge set is that BE characters are so similar and simple to build (only really need BE and speed) that you only really need a single good set and then just share it between your breaker of choice. Fire weakness is also not that rare even without FF guaranteeing it, since we are seeing a lot of fights with more than 3 weakneses on mobs, making it for a nice "just in case" set.
Based on what Guoba said, if i already have a good 4 piece thief the dmg increase really isn't worth the resin imo. Already have good pieces with speed and break effect. Its a must farm for Firefly though.
good lord it works out so great it’s absolutely bonkers. farming crit break relics for xueyi and speed break relics for firefly while getting a full set for yanqing and decent atk 2pc is already good enough but farming a planars for firefly while getting an insane set for my beloved clara as well as rrat team and himeko/herta? that’s just crazy

Dude they butchered this set so bad I'm so mad. Like you can't even justify it as being a Jade sell because not only was the old set much better for her too but also she's quantum anyway so chances are Quantum 4pc is gonna be her BIS
I do kinda wish that they'd made these sets more balanced between Boothill and Firefly, locking break buffs behind a fire weakness restriction of all things feels forced and cheap imo. On the other hand, i'm not pulling FF so no new farming for me yay
as a dedicated break 5* unit skipper (i just happen to not like what we've gotten so far), don't mind me as i enjoy sipping my tea over not having to farm the newest cavern and planar! good luck to u guys tho :D at this rate, i'll prolly have nth else to do but to continue perfecting my acheron's build until 2.4, which is a blessing in disguise.
I cannot reiterate how much Main Stat > Sub stat > Set Bonus prio matters. I've helped a ton of Topaz enjoyers with their build, and changing from a decent 4pc Duke - Salsotto set to a 2pc Duke 2pc Pioneer/Prisoner/Musketeer helps a lot. The percentage difference in many set bonuses aren't as big as that extra 8 CR, 16 CD, or 18% Atk. The only reason we farm BiS relic sets is because it would be best to have godly stats on the best set, but if you don't have the stats to back it up then it isn't worth it. The only exception to this I might argue/say is Duke 2pc and 4pc Quantum, since Duke with 20% DMG bonus is a lot (worthy of being a 4pc bonus), and Quantum is Quantum.
i really need a question why hoyo done that? Like srsly not even a 4 star break effect lightcone??? Its like boothill is just a tool for ppl who struggle with new moc 12 who doesn't have phys dps
@@Ajani-mk2gd what? no he is still best single target unit, FF is better on aoe scenarios and Boothill is better on single target scenarios (on most MOC's they both clear on the same cycle count)
@roxas5071 Difference is FF clears PF, while BH flops unless turbulence. That's why Destruction and Nhility are many player's favs. Not necessarily powercreep but just having a higher pull value.
@@mleong75 she really doesnt? break dmg scales on the enemies break bar so FF is not always gonna kill the enemies and even then if the enemy isnt fire weak she is basically a hunt unit
I have prepared everything I can for Firefly. I have enough pulls to get a guarentee, and enough pre-farmed materials to max her traces. All I need now is to face Star Rails final boss... the relic mines. I don't like my odds of coming out with my sanity intact.
Weird how the fire weakness planar is usable for boothill when you run gallagher, fire mc, silver wolf and boothill which isnt that practical and needed but can be done for fun.
I don't like re-farming but I will be getting Iron Cavalry for Firefly because she benefits the most, though I now realize that putting thief on Xueyi wasn't optimal, but I cannot get a good quantum relic set to save my life (both Seele and SW have subpar sets ever since they came out). I have a question about the new FUA relic set. Wouldn't Clara and Topaz's enhanced FUA's benefit from the ult damage boost? After all, said enhanced FUA are aquired through using their ults, and the damaged multipliers are increased by leveling the ult, as opposed to someone like Gallager whose enhanced basic is attached to his basics level.
Well i'm glad I have one more reason to farm izumo still over the new stuff for my FuA team, that being Acheron is still running a def% rope purely cause of a 5 substat rolls on crit stats :)
8:00 the Pokke slander! 🤣 Unironically though, I'm tempted to use the new 2pc speed on my Sparkle to get her to 167 speed on eagle and S5 DDD to turn her into a Ferrari for MoC. Prior to this it felt a little bit unattainable getting 12+ speed on both hands and head. It kinda stings though since my current Keel set for her is so good. Guess I'll need to find an energy rope with a bunch of speed on the new set. 😓
You know what? I think the lantern set can be viable for hmc on a firefly team. 'Cuz firefly implants fire weakness, and hmc shares his break effect. So when hmc hits an enemy that has fire weakness implanted to firefly, it's like another buff to her in the middle of hmc's turns. I think that makes sense?

I already have a good two piece combo for Boothill, but i understand that effects who ignores defense of enemies stacks really well, so should i still farm the new set if i have both his E1 and S1?
I'd assumed before that Duran only gained stacks based on the user's follow-ups, not the entire team's. I was already going to farm for the Firefly relic, and Duran tor Topaz, but I guess I'll be farming Duran for Ratio too.
Honestly even if it didn't why wouldn't you get it for Ratio tbh. It's just universally the best FUA set, with the only exception I can think of being Jade for PF since you likely will get more out of Sigonia there
If a newer Character I want has the FUA+Ult set as their BIS, I will farm at least a good 2pc of the new BE set for Boothill as Watchmaker set refuses to give me a Good SPD boot with good Break effect on it.
Thank for you testing that Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves applies the dmg buff before the attack calculates dmg. Does the break buff not apply for the same instance of initial attack for the Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern then?
Well here's hoping I can get E2S1 Firefly, and I have 42 batteries saved up to farm for relics/planars for her ready to go. Also hope I can get some Gallagher eidolons too.. poor guy is still at E2 on my account /cry.
Im honestly just going to stick with quantum set on boothill, only getting 16℅ BE extra with the new set due to the nerf hurts a lot. I'll just farm wind set for pela and perhaps try to see if its compatible w boothill also.
great guide as usual @guobacertified! however, when you mentioned def shred from 90% to 100% is only an 11.50% increase, the sheet seems to suggest it is 115 - 92.83 ~ 22% increase? or am i missing something obvious there? (i'm usually using boothill E0S1/ruan mei/bronya/resolution shines as Pela of sweat, i believe it'd be 90% with the new set and possibly worth it?)
While it increases the damage you deal by 22% of the damage you deal with no def ignore, since the 90% def ignore is already making you deal almost twice as much damage you would deal without any def ignore you are only dealing 11% more than what you get with 90% def ignore. It is the same principle behind how the 50% damage amp Robin gives with her Skill is only a 33% damage boost for most characters because they already have just over 50% damage amp from their Traces and orb.
So a bit of confusion: In boothill hmc team, do you put superbreak set on hmc cuz it's his superbreak or on boothill cuz he is triggering it. Also does it stack like putting it on both hmc and boothill. So if boothill triggers superbreak, will he get 50%(25%+25%) superbreak def ignore?
could Jing Liu use the new wind soaring valorous set? she has a follow-up attack upon reaching 2 moon stacks, and the best combo is to ult right afterwards.

Nah you use 4p watchmaker on Ruan mei. Reason being is hmc will hmc wont be spamming her ult and theres plenty of scenarios where you have ult with 2 turns of backup dancer to burn.

Hi! Maybe this is a dumb question, but does the hackerspace full set effect actually work with Gallagher? I thought his ultimate was just the aoe damage on the enemy, and thus doesn't get 'used on' allies, so I've just been running him for maximized break effect. Is a hackerspace 4 piece actually useful on him??
The new relics and ornaments are a mixed bag. I just hope that future sets wont be as Niche as the Follow up/ult, and Fire Break effect set (still happy for Firefly wanters). 😅
Yeah it's so weird, this is the first time they release a relic set this specific, like you MUST hit fire weak enemy (izumo to some extent is specific too). This is probably how the planar set will be going forward
