An effective way of helping someone in extreme poverty is to simply give them money. Not a loan, but cash without conditions. It enables families to buy what they need and have a consistent source of income, allowing them to invest in themselves and their children. Unlike giving, say, livestock or trainings, giving money recognizes that within a community, every person has different needs.
