Theres gonna be basketball courses and camps where they will just show complete games of brunson. The dude has every trick in his bag and makes zero mistakes. Every aspiring point guard should watch him.
Bro Brunson bag is ridiculous. Ppl love those flashy layups but a bag consist of more than that. The ability to get a shot of anywhere is a way deeper bag than anyone can understand
No where in organized basketball is I am six feet above the three point line guarding a screener. A good defender will force a ball handler away from the screen. The screen must come to the ball handler to set the screen. This is zero IQ offense and defense basketball. The game of basketball is a rehearse walk through.. It is a vegetated brain dead league.
Knicks with Brunson are all such high IQ, selfless players its like they're a hivemind. Exemplifies "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." The trust and confidence in one another allows them to play as a team, especially defensively. Its hard to gain that and why Thibs always has a short bench. If OG is out they're fucked because Brunson finished game 2 off adrenaline. Anyone who rolled an ankle knows you can maybe play that game even less than 100%, but once that shoe comes off and there's nothing holding off the swelling, it's GG. It'lll look like a softball tomorrow.
They learned the fundamentals before they ever stepped foot in Dallas my friend. Nothing against Dallas coaches, just saying. Just watch Brunson's college clips...
with all this talk about spacing, do u think its possible to succeed without 5 out spacing? like kobe talked about the triangle and he said it was optimal spacing it wasn't that far out compared to what we got nowadays with 5 players all in the three point line.
Bro after looking at the tape… sixers defense was ass. Bronson didn’t do anything crazy. They can’t guard. They are slow. Embiid doesn’t come up any higher on defense than the foul line which kills the defense immediately
You missed the point. It doesn’t look crazy because he keeps his game very simple: taking what the defense gives, using his size/angles and mastering the in-between game. You don’t gotta play like Kyrie to be effective.
The Sixers defended him pretty well.Brunson was struggling to get good shots in many games. You’re just watching highlights.Go watch the full game and see how tough it was.
So now it's an issue cause a guy on the Knicks is doing it? Players been doing this for years while the Knicks sucked ass and no one gave a shit. Everyone just accepted as part of the game. Stop.
@jjp_nyc when trea young does it tho he's a pos tho right? There are supposed to be rules against this now, where you have to make a natural shooting motion.
None of what you are saying is news …I’ve had basic ass high school coaches teach more…all you are saying is bag and buckets over and over lol learn actual basketball
Brunson is a master of creating space. He's undersized in the NBA and uses his build to his advantage. Most of these clips he's using his strong center of gravity and lower body strength to get lower than his defender and using his strength to push through to where he wants to go, in combination with his elite post footwork even when he picks up his dribble he's still able to create space to get his own shot after he picks up his dribble, which is something not too many players can do even at the pro level. Brunson's game should be an inspiration for shorter PG's that have shorter arms & legs, get in the weight room, work on your footwork, and you'll be able to maximize what you can do even against bigger, taller, & longer-limbed athletes.
