Bionics is actually incredibly interesting. Advancements are made all the time - relatively recently (if I remember correctly) scientists figured out how to directly hook into the remaining nervous system of those who have lost their hands. This has enabled them to not only restore most fine motor control through bionic hands, but even a degree of sensation and resistance (a rudimentary form of touch).
I wanted to do prosthetics like this when I went to college, but the college cut the program while I was in my first year. I changed my major to something else rather than changing colleges, and now years later I regret that choice. The evolution of prosthetics is amazing.
@@ghostphantom8453it's mostly the space that mechanical components take up thats the problem. muscles by weight and volume are the strongest and most efficient motors bar none and their complexity will likely never be recreated on a larger mechanical scale without just re-creating muscle fibers with more rudimentary components. electric, pneumatic and hydrologic actuators are large and require a lot of power to move, and the smaller they are the less effective they operate. a bionic finger would be especially hard considering the muscles that flex your hand and fingers are in your arms, so without anywhere for the motors and battery to be seated they'd need to be tiny, and the muscles that power your fingers make up the bulk of your forearm, they're quite thick and powerful. so it's likely the bionic finger would be significantly weaker.
While they do exist, they have yet to be able to translate complex movement, especially hand movements, which are arguably one of the most complex conscience movement in the human body. Sure u look cool but if u want something really function as another arm/hand, i recommend waiting for another 10y or so, because elon musk's recent invention of brain chip will improve prosthetic's function by a lot, might reach something close to real body part someday
I wouldn’t be surprised if people started developing feeling in their bionic arms. Considering that the brain just hallucinates everything, it would be pretty easy. Especially with phantom limbs being a thing that amputees experience
Your bionic arm is more likely to gain capability to show you Ads by dancing around making hand sign every 30 minutes, long before you can even develop any feeling
@@holabuenastardes7258 I like there are some people that are MGS fans as me. This world still has something. Finished Half of the phantom pain, I would say it will be a pain when I finish it, gameplay is too addictive and fun. Do You know how to play older MGS games, should I use emulator or there is other way
@@balsa0108Same. I‘m also half way through mgsv, but before that I played all of the other games. I‘d advise you to play like I did: MGS1 on DuckStation (ps1 Emulator (you have to have both discs/ISOs)), MGS2 on pcsx2 (ps2 Emulator), MGS3 on pcsx2 (You have to use the subsistence version of the game to get 3rd person view) (optional) MGS Portable Ops on ppsspp (PSP Emulator) MGS4 on a PS3 if possible (currently only very high power pc‘s are able to run the game, but it still crashes often making it very annoying to start and finish) MGS Peace Walker on RPCS3 (ps3 Emulator) Hope that helps!

@@blametheghost children want to be adults, adults want to be children. Adults think their lives will be the same as when they were young but nope. Children think it's all fun and games like in the movies but nope. 😐👍
I hope in the future bionic arms become so advanced it feels just as normal as their regular arm, with 0 flaw’s whatsoever. Like imagine if they were to customize it and give themselves a terminator arm.
This is the type of "future" tech I absolutely LOVE to see. I saw a vet with a mechanical prosthetic leg walking with ease and you could hear the mechanics working. So flipping cool on the level of science and the fact people can FINALLY get their hands on these (No pun intended) lol
@@DurtyDan yeah that's smart. I recommend you build a cabin in the woods and never use any technology again because you never know what nerd might have a grudge on you. xD
Flamethrower? Absolutely, though it might be bulky since the fuel tank, pilot light, etc. would have to be built around all the mechanics. Grappling hook? Almost certainly not. The kind of motor and cable you'd need for it to be able to actually pull you? With our current technology level, they'd be too big to be practical. Besides, if it's strong enough to lift you, it's also strong enough to just yank the arm off entirely.

@@king.canute21 I am talking about Venom snake and also he was tricked into thinking he was big boss and the actual big boss recorded a message for Snake say that he is big boss now taking over his legacy as big boss
@@TheRat_Yui nah. A cyborg is a mix a of flesh and tech. A robot(100% tech) arm, or in this case, forearm and hand, is roughly 5% of your body. So you'd be 5% robot, 95% human, and 100% cyborg.
When revolver “shalashaka” ocelot said “boss, the venom in your snake. It has the capability of giving the solid metal gear a phantom pain” i started sobbing, purest form of media there is.
