The issue is this: Do you in principle support Forced Entry & Settlement or not - or just ehen there is Official Consent? And if yes, do you practice the same thing on a small scale (in your own life)? And would you like an illegal worker to take your job for less pay? I was against the wall at first- but now that it's built I can see that it's working- I do feel for those folks to the south who seek freedom - they just need to follow the rules to come to the U.S.A.
They are now building the 30' fence at Tecate, Ca. The property values here have almost doubled overnight because it will soon be much safer to live here.
It would be better if electrification units could be incorporated into the fence to add a further "silent" deterrent to would be illegal migrants in addition to border patrol guards ,this could bring about a feeling of extra safety & security especially for the residents living close to the border fence which surely would instill further confidence in the effectiveness of stopping illegals getting through and would also help the border patrol team with their efforts to enforce the law.

I just moved to a border town. I was surprised when I saw the wall/fences. They have rocks on the Mexican side with razor wire on fence/wall. If someone tries to climb and falls they would get razor wire and some pretty rough rocks to land on. Different areas have different deterrents. I feel safer here than in Houston area.

I'm going to be 50 in a couple years and I can climb right over that, so it's not going to stop jumping, also you can tunnel, but if it keeps out vehicles, and makes it harder to cross for a quick crime, then I'm all for it! Plus it just looks better then an old rusty fence! That's how ghetto the Democrats are, they want old rusty spray painted panels when our border towns should look respectable too! It just looks aesthetic, but I would prefer to see constatine wire on top....that's what we do to Americans...we erect fences with Constantine wire in our industrial niehborhoods...so if you can put it up for American businesses and prisons...why not for a border that also isn't legal to cross? I'm not being racist or mean, but if I have to follow all these registrations, permits, and licensing fees, then someone from another country should do their paperwork too! Need to just do it like the Soviets did in Berlin. You don’t have to make the wall that high. Just stand up guard towers every so far within sight of each other and put a “no man’s land” up against the wall. If someone enters that tract of land, let alone try to cross over the wall or tunnel underneath it, the guards open up on the illegal invaders. Give a few warning shots at first. If that doesn’t work take them out. They’ll get the hint real quick not to try.
There is a 6 foot cement wall buried under ground as support for the ballard fence. Build the wall, 6ft deep and 30 ft high! President Trump is not only building a wall, he is building a fence on top of the wall.

@Tammy Tia I'm not saying that the problem cannot be solved, but sorry to say that thermite is not hard to get at all. I have used it in my business. People can make it at home. The drug cartels have billions of dollars and can easily get their hands on military grade thermite. There will be hundreds of miles of secluded border wall where one could do this without being detected until many trucks have moved through. The cartels will spare no expense. Along with the wall we need greater high-tech surveillance. MAGA
