some years ago i was watching a segment on tv about the last public appearance of an eastern european dictator and his wife. they were on a balcony in front of a gathering of supposed supporters. they were announcing how they will increase monthly salaries or something in order to try to buy their people's support. but while they seemed high on their horses standing on that balcony, the populace began to boo them. moments later all hell broke loose, and the two stooges (who were now in utter shock and awe mode for not being able to understand why their love and care was no longer needed) had to be extracted and evacuated from their seat of power. watching the liberal establishment manifest themselves currently, always reminds me of that balcony scene for some reason.
